Am I alone in my thinking that Stewart should be fined for his display of ignorance at Sunday's race. I have yet to see that Nascar has took any action. It seems that Tony is one of the" golden boys" that has the "hands off" stamp of approval from Nascar. He can throw helmet, punches or spew words out that would even make a sailor blush and Nascar seems to turn their heads. Guess his action are "detrimental to the sport".

Thats not detrimental to the sport, it's good for it. What Denny did was bash a car they had worked hard on, and had yet to even be tested properly in the racing environment. Which in my opinion wasn't that bad either, especially since two races later, he was proven totally wrong. Best car everrrrrrrrrrr :D Dale sr woulda been having fun in this car.

Yes, for not slappin' the snot out of that punk. YMMV and I really don't care.:)

Tony Stewart is so full of hot air he probably farts everytime he takes a swing like Nacho Libre.

lol holy crap you guys all making me laugh out loud here, my cat looking at me like I'm stoned or something ,...........oh um what was i talking about?

Tony "I don't want to get paid to lose,..........i wanna winnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Love this movie :)

How'd I know you'd answer with that. Lol

Heck no he shouldn't be fined. He spoke his mind. Wrong of him to be mad? Yes. But this fining drivers for crap they say is just stupid.

Clearly Tony has watched too many violent TV shows and they influenced him in a negative manner:D

Throwing punches and swearing on live TV deserves a fine. Plain and simple. Regardless of Joey being involved. I also think BK should have been fined for his comments after Phoenix last year.

No. Watching Tony make an ass of himself is pure entertainment.

It's hilarious to me how he holds those whine gatherings next to his bus. He puts on the butter smooth statesman voice and bobble heads while he lays down the law and says 'ba-dum' over and over like he has a drum set in his shorts.

Joey threw a punch, so should he be fined too?

I love **** like what happened Sunday, but I do think he should be fined. But if they do nothing, they simply add to the appearance that some people can get away with whatever they want.

Joey threw a water bottle. I need to make a new youtube account and post the video already. Tony closes his hand to grab Loganos hair, or the idiot tried to 'throw' the lamest backhand punch, nails first, at Joeys head.

Throwing punches? Seriously? Let's try not to make this world we live in too politically correct. As far as his interview goes, FOX played a recorded interview. It wasn't live. That was obvious. I thought that I heard everything blanked out when I was watching it. If something got out then that's on the network.

It's already all over YouTube.

I slowed the video down and Tony goes to hit Logano and his crew guy pulls him back, no hair pulling. As far as Tony being fined, HELL NO!!! For what? So fans can go on complaining that drivers have no personality? That's why they don't cause NASCAR fines for every stupid thing. Big deal, he confronted a driver after a race and they had to bleep out a couple words from in interview.

OMG! HE SAID ASS!!!

Absolutely not. Whether or not we think Tony had any right, he had an issue with Logano and handled it face to face. I much prefer that to crying about it on Twitter, or wrecking someone at 200 mph.

Besides, these "fights" that happen on pit road can hardly be considered fights. A lot of clutching, grabbing, and shoving, but not much else. Friends do that stuff in the NHL, then get dinner together after the game.

For as much coverage as he has brought to Nascar this week, they should give him a bonus. I have heard more chatter after this race then I have heard in a long time. All you have to do is look as far as this forum and see how he has lit a fire under all of us here.

How would this work??? Would Tony stand in front of a mirror and tell himself he is fired?

No. He should be commended for "actions beneficial to stock car racing."

So
David Newton @DNewtonespn2m
Good call RT @Kerry_Tharp . #NASCAR will issue no penalties from last weekend’s events at @ACSupdates

A new precedence has been set. This completely opens up "have at it boys" to almost endless possibilities that haven't been there since it was instituted a couple years ago. You can do pretty much as you please, just don't say anything bad about the race car.o_O

I think the line was set long ago with Edwards antics. I can't see where what occurred on Sunday even comes close to those times.

IMO, everything that happened on Sunday pales in comparison to the intentional wrecking we saw in 2010. Turning a guy backwards at 190, or trying to turn someone into the outside wall at 190 is insanity nascar should have taken a real harsh stand against. nascar's nod to those moves killed have-at-it for more than a year, because no driver wants to die for bumping a guy.

I love that Tony cussed a little and started a fight. Kez got penalized because he clearly had time to calm down and not use the F bomb a couple of times in a news conferance.

Just to be clear, I'm more talking about driver behavior out of the car.

I one of the four, per Andy, that enjoy the NHL so you know where my response would be to that. Drop the gloves. ;)

Seriously though. It got people talking about the sport. I think that's a good thing.

Does anyone want to chime in about what kind of a message this sends our kids. Well do you're job and teach your own kids right from wrong. I did with mine and I'm proud as hell of my children.
