Brian Scott and TP. Double trouble.
I just don't understand why they took away drivers capabilities to talk to each other inside the car.
"I'm dropping the hammer!"
Not sure, but it might have been because they don't always know who their partner is going to be. I remember some of the Cup guys had 9 or 10 channels programmed on their radios when they raced like this. Could be to cut down on distractions?I just don't understand why they took away drivers capabilities to talk to each other inside the car.

This isn't a very exciting race.
It was to break up the tandems. Two drivers could talk to each other so they knew when to swap or so one driver could say to another driver that they have to lift or go high or something.
Tandem racing sucks but, unfortunately, it's better than pack racing.
Time for a "debris" caution.
NASCAR should quit trying to break the tandems up. The pack racing in the Cup Series is just terrible.
Hoping for a caution free race today.

No, they should work on trying to improve pack racing. Before tandems came along, pack racing used to be great, and it was pretty good at Talladega this year unlike last year, so I know the single-file all race problem at Daytona can be fixed.
Wow, almost perfect timing.
This isn't a very exciting race.

The success of this style of racing is clearly evident in the crowd which turned out for the race
you got to get all the commercials in.Yeah, when you've watched enough racing you kinda know when those debris cautions are coming.
