Gordon came up with his helmet still on and shoved Matt Kenseth at Bristol a few years back too, I've always thought it looks a bit cowardly when drivers do that.

They have their helmets on for hours at a time. They hop out of their car & in the heat if the moment probably just forget to take it off. It's not like they're saying "oh god don't hit me" they're just fired up & want to get to the other driver ASAP.
