Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

Am I the only one who wonders what goes on in a race shop during race week? Like start from Monday to Sunday (race day) and just see what goes on.

I'll put this here:

I just moved into my new apartment and my roommate (a friend before we moved in together) brought his girlfriend over to hang out. NASCAR came up and she said that she would NEVER ever watch it and that she didn't understand the appeal. I fired up the laptop, showed her some racing and now she's like "I can't wait to watch more."

NASCAR has a marketing problem. The on track product is mostly fine. The bells and whistles aren't necessary if NASCAR knew how to convince people to watch.

Brian should never be seen or heard. Helton maybe sometimes. I can't for the life of me figure why Pemberton
is allowed in the public.

What about the guy who tells them that they ****** up when they let Kurt Busch go?

What about the guy who tells them that they ****** up when they let Kurt Busch go?

I don't think they had a choice financially. Kurt earned his way back to a good ride, just not sure the one he got can be considered good.
He probably got a good pay check though.

That may be true, but they still ****** up.

Regan won at Darlington with FRR, giving them their only win to date. I think their mistake was ditching Regan for Kurt. I thought they were really building something there chemistry-wise.

Young driver Ben Rhodes hopes he made right move with JR Motorsports

Rhodes, who turns 18 in February, will drive in 10 Nationwide (now Xfinity) Series races for JR Motorsports this year. He will share the No. 88 car with boss Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kevin Harvick and Kasey Kahne.

Rhodes has sponsorship from Alpha Energy Solutions, a Louisville company where his father is president. He said he could have opted for more races with other teams but felt that JR Motorsports, which won the 2015 Nationwide title with Chase Elliott, was the best place for him.

“It was a difficult decision but JR Motorsports is obviously the best team, in my opinion, in the series,” Rhodes said. “They have excellent, excellent cars and an excellent affiliation with Hendrick Motorsports and I’m just amazed that I have the opportunity to do this.

“It is surreal to me that my idols growing up, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kevin Harvick, Kasey Kahne, I’m going to be paired up with them — and Chase Elliott, the current champion. That’s huge for me. I’ve have so many people to pull from and the learning process, it’s just going to be amazing.”
