YAHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

visiting my dad this weekend and watching from Iowa.

good luck to all currently outside the top 10!

Three of the teams still in the hunt for championship Klemmabyna, Rick, and Molo Motosports all have Austin Dillion on their team.

Congratulations to @PeopleAreStrange for not only keeping but actually extending his overall lead.
Wit only two races left PeopleAreStrange is putting together great races at the most critical time to stay ahead of other teams that are performing very well too.

Three Time or @RayinTX is keeping it close and is still in a strong position to contend for the title. The top two are both in excellent position, it should be a good battle that comes down to the final lap at Homestead.

@klemmabyna while trailing by more than a 100 points is more of an underdog now, but he still has lots of opportunities to close the gap.

There are a few others with a legitimate mathematical chance, but it will be difficult to pass all three of the above in the two remaining races.

Hope everyone will keep at it and keeping digging. I am just hoping to finish in the top 10 this year.

Last year during the Pick'em game, I was fortunate to use the sub-par drivers during their good weeks. This year in the Yahoo game, I can't stop picking the above par drivers during their worst weeks.

Congratulations to this weeks winner:
Sedro Woolley Racing aka @Yogisd1

Aww man silver spoon bubble butt just can't finish these races:wink:

I don't have anything against Austin though

Congratulations to @PeopleAreStrange for retaining the lead with another strong race today.
Good job by "Three Time" aka @RayinTX who almost won today, and closed the gap down to only five points.

Almost tied entering the final race. Qualifying points, lap leader bonus points alone could make the difference.

@klemmabyna has had a great season, and a slim chance with one race to go. But he is going to need help, a bad race by the top two, and a great race of his own.

Lot's of good battles left among several teams to finish in the final top 10.

Thank you Greg. I had nothing all year, then both of my wins came in the chase. I wish I knew how I did it. Good luck to PeopleAreStrange, and RayinTX. May the best one win.

After consulting with our commissioner we will be utilizing the following tiebreakers for all ties representing the entire season, on an as needed basis. Note all of the following tiebreakers are based on the entire season, not the final segment.

1. Most wins.
if a tie still remains
2. The most top 5s
then
3. Most top 10s
if a tie still remains
4. The team scoring the most point from today's race, #36
then if still needed
5. The team scoring the most points from the Phoenix race #35
then
6. The previous event if needed... etc...

Methodology: Yahoo stats only be list points, Wins, Most Top 5s, and most Top 10s. They do not list most 2nds, then most 3rds. And the above method is the least subjective available tool, imo.
And as always no tiebreakers will used for todays race. If we have more than one racing winning team, all of them will be listed as the winner(s). The above tiebreakers would be only be used for final year long points positions.

Good luck to all today.

Homestead

@ PeopleAreStrange picks
Logano, Larson, Kahne, Blaney

Three Time or @RayinTX picks
Lagano, McMurray, Kahne, Bowman

PeopleAreStrange has a 15 point lead at the start of todays race. I dont think a tie is possible between the top two.
Both have Logano and Kahne to cancel the other out.

So Larson, Blaney, McMurray, and Bowman will be the ones to watch for there title chaces

Others with a slim mathematical chance will probably need for Lagano and Larson to have problems. Plus out score there other two cars in order to surpass the two top teams.

Congratulations to this weeks winner (Homestead) :
Sedro Woolley Racing aka @Yogisd1

Finished up with consecutive wins

Will post full reports in a little while.

2nd to Three Time @RayinTX

3rd to Sedro Woolley Racing aka @Yogisd1

Congratulations to PeopleAreStrange on a well deserved championship. Congrats to Three Time, for making it come down to the last race for the championship. I had a lot of fun this year, I wish I had done better in the first segment. Them maybe I could have challenged you two at the top. Thanks to Greg for keeping track of it all, and giving us the weekly reports. Thanks to everyone that played, and hope to see you all back again next year.

My brilliant strategy for the final race had me saving a start for Edwards, Truex, Keselowski, and Elliott. wasn't too bad until that late tire caution!!!

Congrats to Champion PeopleAreStrange.

Thanks Greg.

lesson learned from this season: it's a lot more fun when near the top of the standing!

Congratulations, ladies. You girls are tough.

Thanks, dpk and Greg. I'll be back.

Thanks for the congrats, y'all! :)

Last night, I spent the evening drinking in downtown Fort Worth after watching a Christmas parade.

Shortly before leaving the last bar I visited, one of the TVs showed a clip of Jimmie Johnson hoisting the championship trophy.

At the time, I didn't know I had won the Yahoo fantasy championship, but that justifies me drinking on a school night. :D

I wish there was a way to archive all of the RF YFL history.
It would be great to have a list with certainty listing all of our RF previous champs, the final points results, plus all the top5 and top 10 records for all time.
We could follow all of the season info plus keep a running record of all time stats.

If anyone knows how to pull the old archives, or has influence with Mr BF Yahoo please let me know, in this thread or by PM.

I believe
Dpkimmel2001 (UB3 racing) was our first champion
I think FastFord fan (PatrickPantiePackerracing) was our 2nd champion.
Rick (Angry Cripples) was our defending champion.
PeopleAreStrange the current champion.

It started in 2012.

And don't forget, 2014 was your victory year @Greg. If I remember the story correctly, that was the season that they changed the Yahoo Fantasy League point structure to the current format. If you were to look back at the 'Unofficial "Classic" Yahoo Points', I would have actually won that year, making me the only two-time Yahoo Fantasy Champion, but I digress. ;)

Seriously though, I wish that we had kept a lot of those stats too. It would be very interesting to look at but that would be a lot of information to keep track of.
