See any good movies lately?

Anyone seen "You're Next?" I rented it from Redbox and bought it a few weeks later.

While we are on that topic, I will throw in my opinion about Redbox. I'm a big fan. I live out in the country and the nearest gas station to me is a Kum and Go and they've got two Redbox stations which means twice the chance that I can get the movie I want. What I usually do if there is a movie coming out that I want to see is go to the redbox around Midnight Tuesday. Not only is the movie JUST coming out so it will definitely be available for me, but renting it at midnight means that you get to keep it for nearly 48 hours. Plus, you can go Online to check and see what movies are in each station, that way you don't make a trip only to find out that the movie is out of stock.

I use what I call my junk ATM card, one that I keep very little money in to use for gas and stuff, to rent from redbox online. I rent it early and pick it up anytime that day with a swipe of the card.

A new Kevin Costner movie coming out tomorrow "Draft Day" about, you guessed it, the NFL draft. It's supposed to be really good.

I really want to see that movie quite a bit. I'm a huge Browns fan and it is based on the Browns and it was filmed here.

Three was a very cool thing that happened during filming, by the way. He sort of sneaked into a Cleveland Indians home game, as you may know he is a huge baseball fan and just wanted to catch a few innings of a game. Somebody figured out he was there and started showing him on the scoreboard. With his cover blown, he tried to just sort of duck out of the stadium, but a cameraman followed his exit and the crowd gave him an impromptu standing ovation on his way out and he started shaking and slapping hands on his way out. He recently said it was one of the greatest moments of his life.

I am surprised no one mentioned Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Holy crap that movie was awesome. My favorite Marvel movie to date.

I doubt any movies from the SyFy channel will be mentioned on here! Every time I watch them, I laugh. The graphics are comical.

The Hunt

Good movie starring Mads Milkkensen. (The guy from Hannibal)

Its about a little brat who accuses the main character of pedophilia and brings him almost to ruins with the false allegations.

Aaaannd, just saw a commercial for what looks to be top-notch fare tonight on SyFy: Bermuda Tentacles. I'm sure it will be good, Linda Hamilton is in it.

The life of an actor must be really depressing in the later days. You have early success and star in big budget movies, end up doing no budget syfy movies.

That's true, but I'm sure she still gets paid a whole lot more than the average person and works a lot less to get it.

Finally say Gravity. It was OK, but didn't I get all the hype.

I've heard it was good, but it just seems like the entire movie is about the actress flying around in space struggling to get out. Seems predictable to me.

It just seemed, to me, a little action-hero-y for me, under the guise of being serious. I mean i can suspend disbelief for enjoyment of a movie, but sometimes it just got to preposterous for what it was (I think) meant to be,

Some friends told me the same thing thing so I took it off of my to see list a while back.

Amy Adams is pretty hot as well. I just don't like her characters. Trouble With The Curve is about the only movie I liked her in.
I like Amy Adams quite a bit. She is incredibly hot most of the time. I really liked her in Sunshine Cleaning. She and Emily Blunt together were pretty awesome in that movie. I haven't seen a lot of movies she has been in though. The funny thing is, that while I really liked the movie The Fighter, I didn't like her part in it much at all. For some reason, it was just hard buying her in that role.

That's been the case for many years. If the critics love it, I usually don't care much for it at all. This goes back to Unforgiven and The Crying Game and beyond that.

Most of those Oscar nominated movies are usually either just not very good movies or are boring as hell. American Hustle was a really bad movie. Gravity was not very good and overrated. In fact, the only movies that have even been nominated for best picture this decade that I liked were Inception, Lincoln and Dallas Buyer's Club.

I absolutely despised her as Lois Lane in Man Of Steel -- then again, that just was not a very good movie.

I could give two sh!ts about superhero movies, but I might have to check out the new X-Men movie just to see her in that blue body paint :)

For once, Jennifer Lawrence isn't the only reason I'm going to see that movie. I really honestly cannot wait for Days of Future Past. Very very few movies I go to theaters to watch - this will be one of those few movies.

Dallas Buyers Club surprised me at how good it was.

Just got back from seeing "Draft Day", really good movie. Kinda like Jerry Maguire meets Moneyball.

If anyone knows of any good recent scary movies let me know. Maybe some non mainstream ones I haven't seen yet.

Finally saw Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones last night. Meh. There was a connection to the others at the very end, but otherwise there seemed to be verry little rhyme or reason.

Say what you will about those movies, but they somehow manage to tie the original into all of them.

I enjoyed the first one. And I liked the way the time frame of the second one overlapped the first. The third I thought was no good whatsoever.
