Sammy Swindell Retires

I will miss Sammy, dude can really wheel a midget but he has won way more than his share of races
 
"retired from full-time competition." He will still be at the Chili Bowl (his own words) and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him pop up elsewhere now and then either.
 
I'm just guessing but wonder if Tony's incident had anything to do with his decision.

part of it is this: Part of the reason for the timing now is I’ve spent the last two weekends with my son, Kevin, racing. I haven’t had any time to spend with his racing the last four years. He will drive a (NASCAR) Nationwide car for the rest of the year and I want to be there to support him.

His son is Kevin is running in Nationwide for a one car team that bought Penske's last year Dodges and their leasing Penske engines.
