Remember when Andy Kaufman got "attacked" by Jerry Lawler on Letterman and became a "wrestler" for a while? Or how about when Joaquin Phoenix became a bizarre rapper for a time? Well, the skeptic in me feels the same about Sony Pictures and the whole "The Interview" movie fiasco. But on a much, much larger scale.

I wasn't gonna watch it anyway because watching James Franco try to act is like getting kicked in the throat. That being said, assuming this isn't a PR stunt.....we just do what the bad guys say now?

BREAKING: Exclusive photo of North Korea hacking

Movie must have really sucked .........................real story please

I figured they were still using 1980s era computers. Seriously though, isn't this an act of war?
Hacking a Japanese company? I wouldn't think so. The threats? I still wouldn't think so. They haven't even proven they're actually connected to the hack, have they?

I have to confess that I haven't been following this closely. Never had much interest in a Franco/Rogen movie.

Saying you will kill Americans is serious. Even if your country is a joke.

I like goofy comedies and this one would have been on my list to watch. Not at the theater though. I'll be watching it on DVD in the comfort of my own home. Now I guess I'll have to worry about N Korea sending someone to my house to 'off me'. Might have to pack some heat to take in this flick? I'm just sayin. ;)

So Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, an Austin based small chain, planned on showing Team America in place of The Interview. But nope, now Paramount is scared, and made them cancel.

They say there will be no DVD release either.

Sony Entertainment CEO Michael Lynton tells CNN's Fareed Zakaria in an exclusive interview that he disagrees with President Obama's comments on Friday that it was a mistake to cancel the release of "The Interview" after a cyberattack from North Korean-backed hackers.

"We have not caved. We have persevered. And we have not backed down," he says. "We have always had every desire to have the American public see this movie."

Um yes. Yes you did. We all know it, and you know it. That said, they have to use all the buzz the can get, because, frankly, the movie looks pretty bad.

North Korea warned us of "serious consequences" if The Interview was released. Now they warn us of "serious consequences" if we don't let them help investigate.

:XXROFL:

A serious international incident, on the edge of war, all over a freaking Seth Rogan movie....

Probably no reason to fear the almighty N. Koreans. More than likely one of our very own will decide this is too good of an opportunity to cause some fear in America on Christmas Day but unfortunately that's the world we live in. Me, I'll watch the movie but I'll be waiting on the DVD release.

Now it's being reported that North Korea was NOT behind the hack. I think it was all a publicity stunt to garner interest in a horrible movie.
