Really looking forward to this race, but I'm going to be at the beach. Looks like I'll have to DVR it and watch it July 4th weekend.

Impressive for Indycar to get 100 K turnout. What would the track need in infrastructure to host Sprint Cup? I've heard the paddock/garage area would need some improvements.

In my mind a race called the "Ko Kohler 500" would be great. I can't imagine IndyCar or even Nascar ever letting it happen.
Just a fun thought for my twisted mind.

To be bought by ISC or Speedway.
Yeah, plus the five-year sanctioning agreements. Almost no wiggle room in the schedule these days.

I do think RA has done some safety improvements recently with fencing, barriers, run-off, etc. I read they've added some video boards as well and they had to cut down some more trees for camping from the demand from this IndyCar race. Touching up some of the paddock area aesthetics might be one of thew few things left to do.

Shocked to see Newgarden already back. He has a wreck that easily could have killed him and he doesn't miss a race.

Now just imagine if Milwaukee was still on the schedule. Consecutive weekends where the races are only a few miles apart.

Very impressed by Daly and Chilton during a qualifying.

Chilton especially, I want to see him do well here in the states. Just don't waste that fourth Ganassi seat.

Rahal should be penalized for that though.

Also, I know damn well Townsend isn't talking about running someone off of the racing line as well.

Pagenaud...

This dude is absolutely mental and PT's comparison to Alain Prost is no joke. He is looking more and more like IndyCar's "Alain Prost".

He's mad fast and just so damn smooth. I know Bourdais is and was something special, but Pagenaud with this quality of competition... He's turning into something special.

I enjoyed my first IndyCar Race/first road course race. The track is well-run, and the race was fun to watch. I like that you can bring whatever you want into the track, sit wherever you want, and you got four races for the price of one--a big change from my NASCAR oval experiences. Will definitely go back next year. Only complaint: I didn't expect to be able to see the whole 4-mile track, but I thought the view I had (turn 5 going up the hill) was very limited.

What an awesome event, much needed for both IndyCar and Road America. That had to be the biggest non-500 crowd in years.

Those passes on the run down from the carousel, through the kink, and into Canada Corner were just wild.

Power has got his mojo back. He's 92 back, but within striking distance.
If he had been able to race at St. Pete he'd easily be in 2nd in the championship. It'd be an awesome comeback to win the title missing a race in such a short season (16 races).
