Xfinity RACE thread --- Iowa

"In a car you're expected to do well in."

You're damn straight, Armstrong better get a top 10.

Good day for Ty, nice to see I guess

Overall not a bad for a stand alone race, going to be fun watching Jones when he comes to Cup

Why was last year a "bastardized championship?" Isn't that what most everyone wants... a full season of points racing to determine the champion?

Don't want to hijack the thread and get into the cup drivers in the lower series debate, but IMO when cup drivers win 23/33 races a year there's no way to truly crown a champion.

The kid is talented and fun to watch.
Very mature for his age.

Fabulous drive for Erik. Fun to watch. In order to prevent heartbrokenness, Ty should drive faster, but it probably won't matter as long as he shares the track with Erik.

I don't get it . Winning races is fantastic , but in auto racing , and in many other forms of racing , a season champion is crowned on points . Why does Nascar have to be different ?

And I agree that a champion should be crowned on points, but again when the top 5-10 is dominated by cup guys week in and week out how do you truly know who the best xfinity regular is?

Because the cup guys don't get any points . All that really matters is which driver is the best among the xfinity drivers . Doesn't matter who has the most wins . Racing with the Cup Superstars is a big deal for these guys . Coming second to Kyle Busch is a very big deal . Beating my guy Timmy Hill is not so great .

Ted is right. Those who want a season-long points racing championship got that last year in the Xfinity series.

Pit stops made this interesting or it would have been a cakewalk for the 19 and 20. However, while the xfinity cars may look cool they have big issues with Aero push. Fortunately in this case it made the race more exciting not less since the best car was in P2 for the 2nd half of the race.
