The "good old days" ??
When NASCAR decided to heavily restrict the cooling package during the Daytona test, the first thing I thought about was how warm it has been all winter. We saw some cars running in the pack and blowing steam at the test, and it wasn't very warm that day, surely not as warm as it will be at the end of this month.
NASCAR saw the steam and allowed teams to open the front air vent a little, and raise the cooling system pressure a little. These are easy adjustments to make, but once those options are maxed out, changes get complicated and time consuming.
Did NASCAR leave enough room to easily adjust for a surprisingly hot day in Daytona? Will we see teams swapping out radiators and over flow tanks? Considering how agressivly nascar is getting to kill the pod racing, will they hold their ground on the cooling rules and end up with a steam engine derby?
The suspense is KILLING me.
