Advantage being in the back?

I was just thinking about all the drivers that are usualy in the top 10 or usualy finish races all right might have an advantage being in the back of the field? Im wondering if a big wreck happens (if not in the back of the field) that drivers in the back will move up and take the advantage. And drivers that are in front may not survive the tough race for long.

Driver's that I feel MAY not go to the end...

41 #16 Greg Biffle* Ford Grainger 186.765 51.273 -0.858

It seems that the drviers that took provisional's really have an advantage of staying out of trouble.

It's just me thinking off the top of my head. What does everyone else think?

I don't know if the back would be good place to be or not. Just say that Jason Jarrett being a newcommer bounces off the wall whild running 25th. He could help take out the next 15-20 cars. But then again that could happen with the 1st or 2nd place car.

heck who knows. i was thinking this bc alot of the regulars are toward the back. but we'll see sunday, cant wait.

Usually the big ones tend to happen toward the middle and back as that is usually where the less talented drivers end up running. That being said, there are several less accomplished driver's starting up front Sunday so it could get interesting right from the start. ;)

I just pray that there is NO big one.

I just do not like plate races, period but, of course will be watching tomorrow!

The hardest thing though is for a driver to stay up front, stay in mid-pack,or stay with the back-packers,as U can gain or lose like 12 positions on a single lap at the RP races :D

ps:I also hope that the big one doesn't happen,I thought that the smaller fuel cell might be helping when they were first introduced a couple of years ago,as there was no "big one" in the first couple of races ran with the smaller cells, but lately the "big one" is becoming routine again,so are the smaller fuel cells really necessary?Seems to Me that they just require double the number of pit stops & accident/penalties chances go up double, the extra pit-stops might break up the one big pack for a few laps, but it doesn't last long ;)

I despise plate tracks, I just hope theres no big one at all. But most likely it will probally be in the mid pack, about an hour into the race.

im thinking in the front. just hope it dosnt happen at all though.

Yeh the small fuel cells are a joke IMO. They just make i more difficult on the pit crews to make great stops and take it out of the hands of the driver. I hope that Nascar will make some more changes for next year, they headed in the right direction with the last ones, but they need to keep going that way.
