Anyone want some Dover tix for this Sunday?

I have 3 tickets that I am not using. 2 adult and 1 Jr. Turn 4, on the aisle, nice and high. Can anyone use them?

If I didn't have work...

Heck no! We're going. When I bought those tickets, I had no clue we would be getting the HOT passes from Hendrick. Now I don't think we'll need our turn 4 tickets. We may just stay in the infield for the entire race.

It would take a nuclear disaster to keep us from the track this Sunday! So excited!

Don't you need tickets to get in the gate?

Apparently we don't, since we won't be going in through the gates. We are to report directly to the NASCAR credential trailer on the front stretch to sign in, then we will be escorted across the bridge in turn 2. They said we can bring a blanket and sit in the grass in the infield.

I wish I had known this before paying $150 for 3 tickets :(

Cool. I would double check the ticket situation. Apparently is risky. If it's all good and you're stuck with tickets, you may get a few bucks from a scalper.

Good idea. I just emailed the track security director again to double check.

This guy might be interested in them.

It's not gonna be easy to get to the credentials trailer without tickets and something in writing from Hendrick.

I have the 3-page "NASCAR Guest Credentials" pack from Hendrick. It has the instructions for picking up the passes, a map, and a race weekend schedule. Do you think they will want more than that?

"Hendrick Motorsports would like to invite you to spend a weekend with us during Dover race weekend!

If you have been per-approved by NASCAR, please proceed to the NASCAR registration trailer and fill out the SEL form located at the back of the credential trailer. Next, a NASCAR official will review your drivers' license and upon approval, you will be issued either a "COLD" or "HOT" pass that will allow you access to both the pit and garage areas. This has been predetermined and cannot be changed.
"

The email we got from Hendrick reads:

Dear [my friend's first name],

"[my first name] and [my wife's first name] have been approved for complimentary hot passes for Dover. Attached is information that you can give them about the passes to answer any questions they may have. Below explains how it works to get their son into the track. Remember to tell them, the only time they can get their son in the garage area is from 8-12:30 on race day morning. The hot passes that [my first name] and [my wife's first name] have are for the entire weekend and can get them anywhere in the garage.
Take care and hope to see you soon.
Love
[Hendrick employee's first name]"

So, it sounds as if I won't need grandstand tickets, correct?

It sure sounds like it.

In all the years that we went to Dover I never saw the NASCAR Registration Trailer but I have at many others and it's always outside the track. Everyone associated with the team checks in there. The media as well.

Have a great time at this race and buy an extra sim card for that camera.

I believe that trailer is by the entrance to the parking lot in front of the casino. Behind the fast food place and across from the ACME.

I just heard back from security at Dover. I don't need a race ticket unless I want to enter the grandstand. I can go anywhere in the infield or the midway, just not to the seats.

Damn, I wish Dover wasn't 8 hours away. Enjoy the race. It's going to be crazy, especially if the 2 and 4 are there at the end.
