I can only imagine how baseball fans feel when Fox Sports 1's World Series pre-game coverage has revolved around NASCAR. How much so? Fox Sports 1 had Clint Bowyer come on to analyze the game.

But, no more Speed Channel, amirite?

Or not. Despite the post-Charlotte fireworks and Talladega being an elimination round, TV ratings for the Talladega race fell from 3.1 in 2013 to 2.7 in 2014, with nearly 600,000 fewer viewers.

That's what happens when you start the races when football games are in the second and third quarter. NASCAR will never learn.
