Bobby Labonte and Joe Gibbs Racing recently signed a contract that will keep Labonte in the No. 18 Chevrolet through the end of the 2008 season.

Labonte's old contract wasn't due to run out until next year, but the driver and owner renegotiated it anyway.

Labonte joined JGR in 1995 and has won 20 races and the 2000 NASCAR Winston Cup title during his tenure there. This season, Labonte has returned to championship-contender status, winning at Atlanta Motor Speedway and standing fourth in the series standings, 260 points behind Matt Kenseth.

Congrats to B Lab and JGR, I hope Chevy was in on that little contract. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I am sure that they will ge able to fork It over If Bobby finishes in the top 5 this year.

I think Interstate Battery would be silly to even consider going any where else.
Great exposure, high profile, non contraversial team.

That's great for Bobby. :bounce: Has anyone heard anything about Tony, isn't his contract up the end of this year?
