Holy ugliness, Batman.

It looks like they're racing hybrid clones next year.

It really does. Black doesn't show the subtle body lines very well.

Is it time to get rid of the huge door numbers? I say put the big # on the roof and a small on near the A-posts and leave the side of the car to the sponsors.

So nobody on the hood or trunk? What about associate sponsors on the C posts?People going to lose some money next year.Does have kinda a IROC look to it.

I think it's gonna look cluttered with all that on there. I don't see a spot for the car model across front bumper either......
Look again. There's clearly an oval above the grille. Similar graphics of the Toyota have 'Camry' below the grille.

This isn't a complete paint scheme. See the part of the graphic that says 'Key 2013 Paint Scheme CHANGES'?

One of the things I like about NASCAR vs. the open wheeled cars is that the numbers are so easy to see, especially on the tube. With the way paint schemes change these days, sometimes the door number is the only thing the same from one week to the next.

Not sure I like the idea of a sponsor being on the roof with the car number, or the car number on the side being smaller. Other than that, assuming a sponsor will be on the hood as usual, looks fine to me.

can't say I'm big on having a roof sponsor, but I like removing decals from the head/taillight part. Trying to make them look stocker-ish.

I didn't realize that it was that strictly controlled...what the hell was I thinking:confused:

Aw, c'mon; y'all act like there's a difference. It's a race car. It has far more in common with the so-called 'Impalas' and 'Camrys' on the track than any particular model in the dealers' showrooms.

It's a far cry from the hooplah made over that ugly Chevy SS a few months back.

You mean every car will have to be black fords, with white and red numbers, and block lettering for the sponsor? Jeez! :cuckoo:

Seriously, while many of the changes NASCAR makes are, well, less than ideal, some of y'all simply hear the word change and start protesting as if it's the worst thing ever.

You are passing judgment on a car that has not yet been unveiled? Brilliant!

If anyone would know about passing judgement it would be you, but the burning question is whether you had to stop sucking your thumb to type that or if it was single-handed?

It's always nice when a Car builder that asks a car club how they could make their new car better. When Ford showed my car club in 2009 the new Taurus SHO they asked us that question, our response was the car is too big and too heavy. Ford should have put the Ecobust engine in a Fusion. Only took them 3 years to realize that the fordbastards were right.

Here's the 2013 changes on an actual car. The sponsor on the roof actually looks good and the smaller #'s were needed for this car. I like it, can't wait to see the new cars on track.

No, it's ugly. Did you not see Andy's fist post?

Looking forward to seeing something other than the 48 though.

Don't worry, you'll be seeing plenty of the #20 in victory lane next year ;)
