Waiting for Toyse to send me the pictures, but we put new wheels and tires on the car this week. We have a race tomorrow, then we're taking the engine out and replacing the head gaskets over the next 2 weeks.

On an unrelated note, 2 promods crashed tonight. One got loose and tagged the wall. Gene Hector (Small Block Mafia) made a polesitting run of 4.00, but had no chute deployment, stuffing it into the hay bales.

4 weeks ago, he was on a 3.90 and they had to completely front-half the car after no deployment. This time, he made it further around the curve, and just clipped the haybales with the nose, chassis was fine, body was tossed. Seems to me, somebody needs to double check the chute mechanisms....I would never trust an air release. Lever, please!

In Round 1, somebody else ran 4.25 and had no chute, started bouncing and pitching sparks, the chutes finally came out about 300 feet before the turn, and he was able to make it (barely).

About to pack for Denton, I'll post some videos here in about 45 mins to an hour.

Way Cool!

And that is a great site that you have there MH. Looks very pro

Here were the passes from Friday night. We just got home, will process and upload the ones from tonight....soon(ish).

Heads are almost definately coming off this week. Head gaskets are leaking, and valvesprings need to be checked. Motor hit the 7800 RPM chip tonight on a burnout.

Which one, the racing site or computer Srv's site?

I'm guessing the racing one...It's sad that a computer guy can't even fix up his own site...I'm just too busy doing everything else.

No, we don't kill tires.

Here's the 8KRPM burnout. You can hear the pitch change when dad nailed it, I didn't bring him far enough out of the water.

7800 RPM * high gear * rear gear = 1600 axle RPM...or given a ~35 inch height, 166 MPH of wheelspeed on the burnout

Some day maybe we will be at the same race. I would love to watch your car run. Those cars are the back bone of drag racing.:)
