In other news, Cole Whitt & his car are parked on campus. Shouldnt he be in Phoenix??
You know how it is --- someone kicks over the anthill and they all run around.never heard of the guy.
Suddenly, everyone who knows how to drive a car is an "expert" on racing.
I imagine it's a show car. And N'wide practice isn't until tomorrow. Plenty of time for him to get there.

Weird thing was, it was just the car. Nobody around to talk about it. I even popped the window net down and hopped inside, got a picture and got back out.

How true, but, a lot of good drivers died horrible deaths in those style race cars. Ned quit after Fireball Roberts death. I heard Ned on an interview tell the story of seeing Fireball climb out of the car on fire, gave me chills.
PS: for those that do not know it, Roberts got the nickname Fireball, not from racing, but from pitching baseball, the nickname just carried over into racing.

I’ve just got to settle for second and miss our opportunity on an owner’s championship this year.’’
The guy has won a dozen races because of that kind of caution. One goes the other way, and he cries conspiracy. Same old, same old.

you're right about that....but this race was over, youngest champion, a tighter owners championship, nothing happening, everybody had accepted the outcome to be. like you said it wasn't the 1st time. just can't get my head around it..

It's getting too populated up there in the sticky section at the moment. And, yes, I'd like to see it get back up there after Homestead but the Great Chase Debate of 2014 will probably go on for some time to come.

Ehh, it's to be expected IMO. It's time for the dreaded winner take all race, so of course the discussion is gonna be a lot more intense.
As for myself, I think my new slogan is gonna be "watch the race, eff the debate."

No, no. TRL didn't take it out. I asked her to remove it because of the complaints that started coming in about the number of threads up there. I'd love to see it get back to the way it used to be with only the TV Links, NASCAR Trivia and Random Thread but from time to time hot topics tend to take over all threads that get posted. It sucks when that happens and sticky's become the result.
