RATE THE RACE: Dover I

I'll give the small portion of the race that I got to see (the last 90 or so laps) an 8.

Never in a million years expected to see JJ get the black flag. I definitely thought that restart looked suspicious, but I was like "watch, it's Jimmie - he'll get away with it." Nope! :)

I wanted Pablo to win, but Tony always starts getting hot around this time of year...and even so, I have no clue what rock he crawled out from under to win that thing.

10+++++++++++++++++++++++++
watching tony catch and pass JPM for the win in the final laps was awesome
and the black flag on JJ was an added bonus

I fell asleep about the middle third of the race. Sure glad I was awake for the last part. That was good.

I'll go an 8 -- simply because of the last 100 laps.

Supposed to be one of the most boring races, but it turned out to be the most unpredictable. I didn't miss a lap. Only thing that could have been better was if JPM had a better car for the last stretch. Tony, JPM, and Jeff fighting for the win. 9.5

I thought the race was awesome and here is why there were commers and goers!!!! the other is the teams were able to make adjustments to the cars and make them better ie alot better in the case of JJ. infact I don't think I have ever watched a race where drivers seemed to be so out of it and then surged to life at different points in the race. this tells me you CAN pass and everyone is not stuck running the same speeds. I am a JJ fan and even I thought he should have given that spot back as fast as he could. if you cross the line first on a restart you better give it back unless the guy totally wads up the field, which didn't happen.

I'll give the race an 8 with pretty much the same opinion as everyone else- the race got more and more exciting as the race went on and had a fantastic finish. Too bad it wasn't Jeff in victory lane afterward. He was right behind Tony and JPM.

I am going with an 8.5 , but I could have went with a 9.5 if Kurt could have stayed up front and been in the mix at the end.

once again nascar controls the outcome of the race.Juan knew he couldn't beat him one on one so he sucker him.no big deal jimmy is still going out do him and he will be lucky to have a ride next year and he didn't win. The end of the race was a 10.

9. I only saw the last 200 laps.. Really wish JPM won but I like Tony and he just beat Juan. No spin at the end, just beat him.

I'll give it a 2.

Stewart wasn't happy with his car for 397 laps.

If it wasn't for the last lap I would give it a 1...

;)

Any race that Kenseth blows up is a 10 in my book. And the fact that a Gibbs car didn't win makes it a 10+.
For all you Jimmie fans he is still in 1st by a mile. Hahaha!!!

Was gonna go 6 'til the last 100 laps happened - like everyone else here is saying.

Will we ever see a caution-free race? C'mon with those first two cautions. Everything after that was legit, though.

Gonna miss FOX.

Newman!!!

Some folks here don't rate the race 'cause they would base it mostly on how their driver finished.
I typically don't do that.
But I will tonight.

HE(hockey stick)(hockey stick), YEAH!!!

The 48 team showed their stuff going from a lap down to leading. I was entertained when Juan duped Jimmy on the restart; close call, but the correct call. It looked like Juan was going to get his first oval victory but you could see Tony had him covered long before he got to his bumper. Congrats Tony.

Dover never disappoints. But those stands looked mighty empty.

Maybe I never noticed it before this past race, but seemed like there were a lot of empty seats there. Just my observation from TV.
I think you never noticed. While it was never a tough ticket to get, the venue used to pack them in. It has been in steady decline for many years now.

We want to both races from 88 to 04. Every year the tickets price would go up 2 or more dollars we had 12 tickets. Then in 04 they said no golf carts on tract property, had to pay a local home owner to park the golf carts in their yard. that was the end of dover for us.

9.999 I was there had great seats and had a GREAT time I'm not crazy about Tony Stewart sometimes but that ending was great!
