As a Robby Gordon fan Im very happy with this news. Robby's backfall was always his lack of stock car experience and lack of stock car terminology knowledge so the extra seat time should help his efforts greatly in the #31 car in 2004.
BOWLING GREEN, K.Y. (November 14, 2003) - Fruit of the Loom, Inc., owner of one of America's most recognized basic family apparel brands, announced today that it has teamed up with three-time NASCAR Winston Cup Series race winner Robby Gordon to compete in the NASCAR Busch Series in 2004.
Beginning with the season-opening Hershey's Kisses 300 at Daytona International Speedway on February 14, Gordon will drive the Fruit of the Loom-sponsored No. 55 Chevrolet Monte Carlo in 24 NASCAR Busch Series races. Robby Gordon Motorsports will own the entry and will operate from its new facility in Huntersville, N.C.

Gordon has 141 NASCAR Winston Cup Series starts and has recorded three victories plus a victory at the 2003 Gatorade Twin 125's at Daytona. He scored two CART series victories in 106 career starts, has competed in nine Indianapolis 500's, is a six-time series champion of SCORE/HDRA Off-Road racing, has won four Rolex 24 hour at Daytona class victories and competes annually in the Baja 1000, winning the 1989 race in a solo drive.
