Wallace gets KBM ride.

I don't ever recall there being so many story lines to follow in one year. Granted, this isn't exactly earth moving news but one more thing to watch for. I'm liking it more and more as Daytona draws ever so closer

I don't know what to make of the support all these new guys are getting. The list gets longer every day.Wallace, Ryan Blaney, Kyle Larson, Swindell, Bloomquist, etc. All of them great new talents , but likely none of them can hold a candle to the guys already in the series' . I expect some of them will make it , but it'll likely be five years before we know.

I expect a big driver turnover in cup to begin in 3 years. Lots of marginal drivers have been hanging on by a thread.

Lets see how many we can name. Kenseth , Montoya , McMurray,Burton, Junior, Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin,Ryan Newman ?

Guys that finished 7th (Kenseth - 3 wins, 19 Top 10's, 13 Top 5's), 12th (Junior - 1 win, 20 Top 10's 10 Top 5's, missed 2 races), and 10th (Gordon - 2 wins, 18 Top 10's, 11 Top 5's) in the standings are marginal drivers and are only hanging on by a thread?

I'll give you Burton, Montoya, McMurray, and Newman. Plus there's a whole list of guys that keep showing up year after year that I think these young guys will end up replacing too, such as Casey Mears, David Gilliland, Travis Kvapil, etc.

I wish Kyle would just shut KBM down and focus on racing. Seems he's slipped up a bit in the Sprint Series since opening up shop. That makes what, 6 drivers in his stable now? Himself, Hamlin, Kligerman, Coulter, Herring, and now Wallace.

Sport needs new blood. People like Jimmie Johnson won't be around forever. This is the most exciting thing to happen in a long time. At least we now know that there are new drivers coming in. Five years ago, that wasn't happening because Cup guys were racing for minor league championships.

Agreed! Some other drivers who fit this description would be Labonte (both of them), Menard (once Daddy's Money runs out), Reutimann, Nemichek (start & park) to name but a few.

Nationwide's gonna be a lot of fun.

I think I am more excited this season than any I can remember before for the Nationwide series. Trevor Bayne finally got a full season ride and he is taking over Stenhouses car. Parker Kligerman driving a full season for Kyle Busch. Kyle Larson one of the best young drivers around is gonna drive all year. Travis Pastrana is fully commited to running a full season. Alex Bowman a great up and coming driver from ARCA is gonna run a full season. Then add Allgaier, Austin Dillion and Johanna Long returning (Johanna is really far better than the team she is driving for), Not to mention Regan Smith and Brian Vickers going back to revitalize there careers.

The problem I have with Gordon , Kenseth, Junior and let's add Tony Stewart... is age . Gordon and Kenseth are 42 Tony is 41 ;in three years time were are talkin 45 years old. Financially they don't need to race any more and in Junior's case he likely shouldn't race anymore( because of the concussions) . Frankly , they need to get out while they are still on top.

Gotcha. I dunno, if they still love what they are doing, and still have the drive and passion and are competing on top, by all means. Just don't do what the hell Martin, Elliot, and LaBonte have done. If you're gonna give it up, give it up entirely.

Keslowski, Stewart, Ky Bu and Ku Bu, edwards, biffle etc. hell the way your marking'em Ted its the whole field. Oh I see, that was your point, Scusem wah. ;)

Fender said we're going to see some guys dropping off in 3yrs time . I'm thinkin that the 45 yrs and older guys might be ready to go . Heck ,when you see the rough ride that we give our past champions like the Labontes' around here , I thought everyone would jump on board .

Gotta be a rebel in the group, thats why the winkie there Ted. ;)

I think this is going to be a season of great racing in all three series'
We finally got Speed Channel so I don't have to watch the Truck Series online anymore :)

Time Warner Cable sucks. I'll be switching to AT&T Uverse as soon as its available in my area.

Wait until you see the deals you get when there is competition. My phone, TV and net bills went from $250 a month to under $110, and I get way more.

Yeah, I can't wait.
We were on the phone with TWC just last night. We have to reboot our cable box at least three times a day. My girlfriend asked if they were going to credit our account any to compensate, they basically told her, "tough feces."
Time Warner Cable has the worst cable service and the poorest customer service of any cable company.

Intro offer?

All out blood battle between FiOS and Cablevision. I have both wired, so I switch back and forth when the 1 or 2 year 'new customer' deal ends and they try to rob me. I always give them a shot to be reasonable about the 130% increase, but they always say no. Then I switch, and they offer me a better price than I would have settled for in the first damn place. Bunch of tards can't figure out that their regular prices are just way too high.

Kenseth? My boy has made every Chase but one, and none of them as a wild card.

While he didn't run every race, Martin's team finished 15th in points; going out from that level is hardly 'hanging on by a thread'.

Age, schmage. Tony Stewart is one year removed from a championship.

I think he started slipping after he roughed up Ron Hornaday. The resulting uproar made it politically difficult for him to run as many Truck and N'wide races last year as he had in previous seasons. I think he's one of those who really benefits (and enjoys) the extra seat time.

Charter Cable just recently removed Speed from our lineup for TVs without the box. :( Now I have to watch Speed in the living room, which I can't if my stepdad is watching TV in there.

Probably won't start watching the truck series this year like I was thinking about doing.

LOL, I thought Steven Wallace when I first saw the topic. I was coming in here to say something along the lines of "well KBM shop is going to be a junkyard soon." However.. Darrell Wallace Jr is a compleetely different story. I started liking him when he was in the 2011 Denny HJamlin Short Track Showdown. After winning the K&N Race at Richmond went on in the same night to be fighting Kyle Busch for the lead on a late restart...fought a little too hard and spun out but ever since that day Ive liked him. I think he will do pretty great things.

The spouse looked at this and said, I didnt think KyBu could get any homlier but the fatter he gets the homlier he gets.

Proof that talent instead of looks can still get you a cup ride and money in spite of personality will get you a woman usually out of your league.

The spouse said "In my opinion looks dont equal talent- money dont equal looks- but he is a slighly better than average driver or he would have a better cup record and is a huge butthole to boot". She said to repeat "In my opinion". PS- My opinion is that I agree.

His expression makes him look like he's in a dentist chair waiting for root canal.
