Interesting article about NASCAR tech

This is a pretty good article about technology in NASCAR, from The Verge which is rather surprising for that site. I read some things I didn't know. I thought at first it was just going to be about the stages, but there's some other neat info in there.

It is a pretty good article. It pointed out how NASCAR has to test new ideas under race conditions. It talked about how technology has helped with pit road and inspection. And the article talked about how NASCAR tries to balance technology vs. driver control.

A crew chief mentioned that his engineer wants as much car data as possible but the crew chief though less data made better racing (he would accept data if it was available and they would use it),
