2018 IndyCar news/misc. stuff

Are they pretty much staying the same with the car for next year?
Nothing major as far as I know. Maybe a few more nitty-gritty bits and pieces that the teams will be able to make themselves but I haven't heard anything on what parts they might open up for next year yet. The new aero they used this year is locked in through 2020, Honda and Chevy agreed not to develop the current engines much more (or not at all) either to focus on the bigger engines that will also debut in 2021. The plan is for all-new everything in 2021, chassis/engine/aero since they've essentially been using the same tub and engine formula since 2012.
