Cup RACE thread --- Daytona

The Rock at his peak was just as known and popular as Taylor Swift. He’s fallen out of the spotlight the last 8-10 years yes but he was in big movie after big movie for a while.
He still is.

He’s done a few with Ryan Reynolds (Red Notice also starting the very hot Gal Gadot) and Free Guy. He also did a DC movie and that Disney Jungle Cruise movie.

Is handling playing a part yet? I find with the sun going down maybe the changing track will cause further strategy alternatives

Until it actually moves the needle, and has an impact, I don't think it's the way to go if you're targeting general sports fans.

If it brings in wrestling fans, that's nice. But we want more than that

That’s like being hungry and turning down bread because you want pizza instead. NASCAR doesn’t move the needle anymore either unless there’s an injury, massive crash or big scandal.

I don’t agree with this at all. Both fan bases are kind of in the same side of the pool. I find it harmless to cross promote
I don't think it's harmful. I just think it'll keep your typical "American sports watcher" away.

I suppose we can't really know. But I hear you. I don't want to derail the thread anymore here.

WWE is pretty mainstream these days. Anyone who looks down on wrestling fans is living in the past.
Right. I don’t watch and I know most of these people.

And there are A LOT of NASCAR fans who watch WWE. Especially people who became fans in the 90s when both were all the rage.

I think it would be a surprise if it did, especially as the track cools down even more. Sounded like it was going to mostly be fuel-only stops this evening; not much tire wear.

I still remember when Kyle Petty drove the nWo car. I used to have a die cast of Steve Grissom’s old WCW Busch car.

Busch just got left behind. Here come that Hendrick Freight Train, Felon aboard!

Man Chase doesn’t give any Fs about his teammates this week and I love it
How can you tell? He never really did at restrictor plate races, to be fair.

He's been low-key the least reliable teammate during superspeedway racing for years lol it isn't close, and it's entirely excused, now more than ever.

5 probably has the best pushing car in the field today

I wanna see someone do that nWo car as a throwback. Someone with a three letter sponsor would be ideal. Them JBL Speakers would be perfect
Honestly surprised we haven’t seen an AEW car yet. Unless we have and it slipped by me
