RACE thread --- Duels at Daytona

Sup guys!?

Jaqua19 here. I lost access to my old account/email associated with that account. Any mods who can help with a linkage would be appreciated.

I'm back! A job change has revealed some serious work releared burnout, stress, and frustration thats bled into my personal life these last few years. Its taken a toll. Some time away from this forum has reignited my enjoyment of the highs and lows of this sport, as well as some passion for life that's been missing these last few years.

Ready to re-join this forum to connect with you all again.

Congrats to Elliott, and his fans! Stoked about going back to the Chase! Looking forward to this season.

Glad cup racing is back. Really curious about Elliott, Bell, Larson's ability to adapt to the new format. Gonna be a good one!

How is it the 3's fault when the17 was actively pushing him into the 23.
I'm late lol but...obviously it cant be the 3s fault because he was being pushed.. but also it couldnt have been the 17s fault to because, you see, there was a car in front of him. Cars aren't see through, so we cant expect these professional drivers to be able to know whats happening in front of the car in front of them. If only they had someone that could stand on top of the grandstand with a great view of the entire track. This person could be on the radio with them and tell them everything going on on track around them. I bet it'd catch on.

My impression of the announcers trying to justify any car pushing someone straight into the back of another car. Like this isnt a field full of the best stock car drivers in the world.

Conditions change too quickly at close quarters for spotters to keep up wth what's happening three or four cars either side of theur cars, too fast to get the information to the driver, too quickly for the drivers too react.

If that were entirely true then it would happened every lap.

My point is some of these guys have no chill in crucial moments when chill is a necessity.

Howdy @jaqua19.1 welcome back! Sorry things got so tough for you, but very glad you are feeling some sunshine now.

This sport is fun 😀! Glad you’re back here with the forum gang!

He's coming. Pretty sure he will be in the middle of it Sunday. They aren't going to cut him any slack though.

Alfredo DQ'd.

Now I know what BJ stands for. 😎 My definition of falling off and theirs is completely different. Sounds like hoses were still attached on one end. How many times have a drivers cooling hose come loose and nothing is done about it. But yet we have wrecked cars come back on track and pieces fall off and nothing is done. What a crock of you know what. Selective interpretation.

Driver cooling hoses don't affect aero.
