Well, we're heading into Talladega and 'wilkesboro moonshiners' has been sitting atop the board for two consecutive weeks. I think it's about time for a change again. Anything can happen at this track. Are we going to see tandem racing or pack racing? It's time to start getting those picks in.

I hear Mark Martin's good here. You all should probably take him this week. ;)

Deadline to select your drivers is May 5 5:00am EDT

This could go any way at Dega. You could get the highest score or all of your picks could be took out in one lap. I suggest everyone go with Martin and Vickers this week. If you don't like them Robby Gordon is a good pick as well. ;)

I have a feeling if Carl was here, he would take all your suggestions and lose again.

For real though I'm surprised Robby isn't coming to Dega. It's one track where even he could get a great finish.

Destructor plate racing is a risky move for a team with no money. Robby hasn't finished better than 20th in his last 6 at Talladega, and he's crashed twice. I also get the feeling he has burned all his bridges as far as getting help from larger teams.

I got a feelng HMS gets that seldom discussed ;) 200th win so I know who I'm going with.

These are all excellent picks. I don't think that most know just how good these guys are at this track. I hope many players heed your advise. Thanks for sharing.

This is a week to save the starts for the top-notch drivers and use up the starts on drivers who one would normally not use. People such as Casey Mears, Dave Blaney and the like are excellent picks for a Destructor Plate Weekend - cause we all know that anyone can win and anyone can end up with a DNF.

I scored a total of 86 points for Daytona due to that lap 2 wreck. It's the main reason I'm still only 18th in the standings.

Is Vickers entered this week?

The entry list has Michael Waltrip as driver if the #55 but I'm not sure when those entries are submitted  and he's also in the fantasy group c-list. No d-list, right Fender ;)

You're a genius held back by circumstance. We understand. ;)

Nice use of the contraction, FB! WOOF!

Plate Races have no bearing on who is the best or most-deserving driver. I was very happy to see the Wood Bros. in Victory Lane at Daytona in 2011 but Trevor's win just proves that Plate Racing is the ultimate crapshoot.

That's what I was looking at . I wonder how many of us Michael Waltrip haters who say that he can't drive for s**t will be picking him in the pool ? I sure as heck did .

Considering that Spencer won both summer plate races in '94, I have to agree with you.

Good luck to ya'. I sure won't be picking him.

I am feeling good this week, I left in the drivers that did me wrong in Kansas and I moved up 6 spots.

From here.

I know what you mean .It's not so much about who you pick , more about when you pick em . I've already been burned three picks by Jimmy Johnson , he'll probably win five races this year , but I'll be out of picks by then.

When he crashed going 65MPH at Daytona I decided I wasn't going with him if he raced Dega.

Some of you guys lucked out at Daytona so hopefully you guys get destroyed while I luck out at Talladega.:D

Daytona / Talladega results are all luck!

While agree that plate races are usually a crap shoot, the same can often be said about tracks that produce fuel mileage finishes. At least they run wide open to the end at the two plate tracks ;)

There's a difference between pure luck, and anyone has even a slight chance to win. A few drivers win more than their share of plate races, and that takes talent.
