" IF" Jr is out next year who drives the 88??

Rick makes too much money off Junior. Danica will either get the 24 team if/when Jeff retires, or Kasey's ride.

I like Danica....but her getting the 24 scares me....

Is Smith just in the 88 this week or does he already have it at Kansas too?

This is a tough question Johali and the more I think about it ,the more I would like to hear some serious thoughts from the folks on the forum . I have no idea right now. Hendrick has gone with old drivers like Labonte and Mark Martin and young drivers like Jeff Gordon . But I'm thinkin maybe a twenty five to thirty year old with at least five years in cup.Who does that leave?

It is the return of Shawna Robinson who ends the year with a better record than Danica!!!! :)

That seems to be the question about any driver, who will be available.

I find this thread to be funny. it went from "Dale sits out two races" all the way to "who's available to drive the 88 is the big question."

Bad Brad would be the perfect fit but what is his contract status for 2013.

He's signed through 2013. But how about another guy that's only got a year left on his contract. A guy that left Hendrick Motorsports to win a championship and hasn't come close. A guy that could be in a unhappy marriage at JGR and that's why he hasn't resigned yet. Why wait for that 24 seat to vacate.....Welcome home Kyle Busch!!!

Read the title, its a fun what if thread, but if it did happen who is available.

And your smokin "what" this mornin GP.

Sam Hornish.

I could see Sam , he will be 34 next year I think , also Regan Smith who would be 30 , or David Ragan 28 . There are no doubt lots of others. A guy like Ryan Newman who would be 36 might be a possibility.

I think maybe a one year contract with a driver until somebody could be freed up for 2014.
