O more days until the Bristol Cup race! :partytime :bounce:

Let's get ready to ( ___________ )!!!!!!
You fill in the blank.

Boogity boogity boogity, let's go ****** racing already!!!

Kevin Harvick, whoop some ass!!

It's a little wet here in Bristol. 30% chance of rain the rest of the day. Good thing it doesn't take long to dry that track, haha. I didn't see very many campers coming into town for this race. Is anyone down near the track?

Just seems like there's less and less people here every year.

Anyway, go #18. Let's keep that car out front, baby! :D

Here at The Landing Campground it's probably about 70% full. Many of the other campgrounds look like far less than that. Yesterday the stands were more empty than usual for the Nationwide race. In my row of twenty or so seats only four were filled. I think the turnout will be horrible today.

52 degrees here this morning but its not raining. They say it is supposed to get better today as the day progresses so they should get this in. It looks like we are on the southern edge of the storms.

By being there do you think there was enough warning about the very bad weather to make it a factor in the lower camping and attendance figures at the race or do you think it is just more of the gradual decline in attendance.

Earnhardt wrecked Labonte twice at Bristol. I think this was the 1995 race Labonte won and Earnhardt won the 1999 race.

it was the race that Earnhardt won that he let loose with the classic "just tryin' to rattle his cage" comment

That '95 race was one of the most fantastic races I ever saw DE run. And I'm not talking about the finish. I'm talking about the fact that he was put to the rear as a penalty early in the race and drove like a great white shark through a school of fish.

That was fun to watch, He never gave up.
Wasn't that the night Rusty threw a water bottle at Dale's head after the race.

Dega going from 17th to 1st in 4 laps is one of my favorites.

It's just more of the gradual decline in attendance. The night race usually has more spectators, but over the past few years, attendance has just dropped out. Not sure if it's the economy or what.

I live here in Bristol so I try to make all the races I can.

To freaking cold to camp out unless you are hard core. Weather is not going to help attendance I don't think. Won't hurt the racing though unless it rains... as he puts another log on the fire

I love night racing no matter what kind of racing it is.:)

Pre-race show is terrible :(
I don't know, I like the fact they let Mikey run around like a boob with a microphone. Reminds me of the All Star races when he ran from interview to interview. Other than that, its a pre-race show. For better or worse.
