Mike Ford and Brian Vickers.
 
Kyle Busch and Pops Eury (for entertainment purposes only).

Brad Keselowski and Paul Wolfe. Soon to be the best duo in NASCAR.

I thought I had identified a loophole, since Paul is available to CC for Brad. ;)

I can't think of any jobless drivers worth a mention as far as spending millions on.

Pops Eury and Larry the cable guy.
Chad Knaus and Ozzy Osbourne.
Mike Ford and Rosie O'Donnell.
 
Vickers is worth a year, maybe two.

It'd be worth it for any team to get Mike Ford. Even a low budget team -- he could probably get a Tommy Baldwin or Front Row team a top 10 at Pocono... and if he went to MWR, he could probably get Mark Martin a win at Pocono.

I think Mike was as bad as Denny in 2010. He needed to throw some cold water on Denny, but he seemed to crawl in to a shell and let Denny run wild and self destruct.

Denny showed me the kind of team player he is when he failed to lock his wheel and ruined the car before qualifying. He got out and told everyone the wheel failed, which is blaming his mistake on someone else. I'll never forget him talking to the crew and acting out how he pulled on the wheel to check that it was locked. When they rolled the tap, he slapped it on and never checked to see if it was locked.

whats the big deal with mike ford?? I say go for a CC that isn't over weight, why because they will probably work harder. if mike ford was so great he would have a job with another big name team. instead he has went the way of pete rondeau, lance mcgrew and others.

as for vickers the guy did what in a all those years when he drove a hendrick car?? I would rather take a chance on an un proven guys than veterens that have proven to be mostly miss. I would go with dinger or kyle larson, that is if I could not have another top name driver. as for CC's my favorite is always chad knaus. second favorite is alan gustafson.
 
^^We are talking about free agent or mostly free agent (i.e. driving part time or driving for a crappy team). This leaves Larson and Dinger wide open, not so much Chad Knaus and Alan Gustafson.

Or Larson with Alan G. I see that working well.

They're already ahead of everyone else, they're both still alive and available and that makes me the winner.

With Alan G, a good crew and HMS equipment I truly believe she would kick some ass. Would love to see her get the chance.

Why do they still have Zippy sitting in an office doing nothing at SHR? They need to bring him back to be Stewart's crew chief. Like when Roush brought back Jimmy Fenning to be Matt Kenseth's crew chief.
 
I don't think Zippy wants to be on the road all the time. With that said, when was last a Zippy a winning crew chief?
