Avatar-less posters, incredibly lazy or computer illiterate?

I tried to post a picture of myself but I kept getting this error message

I dont need an avatar to be an elitist-ed types of poster.

But beings that Matt bought it up, I thought about posting my "Dale Earhnardt, one tough customer, the intimdator, Seven time champion, first class Hall of Fame" tatoo that is on my privates. Given the number of letters, I am humbly proud and selfs Impressed.

The way I figure it, is that Jeff Gordon fans need to be a fan of his, cause it is a lot less letters and space requirements.

It is ok Matt if you need that avator if helps you overcome your short comings, reach new spots etc more power to you.:-)

Note the smiley, Shorty, so this cant be offensive.:-)

I don't know how you did it Greg , I could only get 'the intim ' on mine and it takes so damn long to explain it that I end up falling asleep.

This is a pretty good question.

I had been lurking here for a little while before I signed up, and when I finally joined I wasn't sure how long I was going to stick around. Plus, I wasn't sure which driver to showcase in my avatar, because while I do have my favorites, I still like (or can at least appreciate the talent of) most of them. Therefore, I just never got around to making one.

Plus, there's the argument that not having an avatar forces people to pay unbiased attention to the content of my posts rather than just dismiss them or form some sort of initial bias because I show support for a driver they dislike. Yeah, that's a weak argument, but it sounds a lot better than laziness so I'll stick to it.

Heck, I should just slap a Danica picture in there and call it a day. (Again with that name. I just couldn't resist.)

computer illiterate here.would like to have the Chevy bowtie in the box.

Go here: https://www.google.com/search?q=che...QH4640QHV5oD4BA&ved=0CDgQsAQ&biw=1902&bih=948

click on the one you want..after is comes up, right click (save image as) it will save it to whatecer directory you have for pictures. Go back to your racing forums page and up at the right top, pull down menu under your screen name...pick avatar, then browse..then pick the photo of the bowtie picture and load it..done. Now all of you that don't know how can..if you want have an avatar.

The irony of the biggest attention whores on the board trying to call out someone who rarely even posts anymore is amusing.

Personally, I think the heat, or the storms, or the impending doom from whatever new abomination that catches your attention, has warped everyone totally out of their minds.
This is the most ridiculous thread I've seen in a long time.

Thanks for giving me a good laugh --- it's been a while.

:XXROFL:

Now, can we just get back to racing, or the moaning/groaning about the lack thereof?

They have some pretty neat images on that site.

I think I'll blame all this discord on an uneventful Pocono race which left us with nothing or no driver(s) to argue over ;)

I've removed most of the later posts simply because they were objectionable to the max. There is absolutely NO SANE REASON to get your pants in a knot over a silly comment.
Sorry for that. I have managed to disregaurd things like this in the past and will try to in the future.

Probably got swept up by accident StewartFan. I got POed at a couple. Believe me, nothing personal.
I just have a hard time believing that reasonably sane posters can go off on some silly comment -- until I see it.
If it was any of mine I apologize, but I don't think any of mine was really objectionable but seriously my CRS at times is at the forefront.
