I've always liked Kyle and he's always fast, but I often wonder about his NSCS career:

Will Kyle ever be a NSCS champion?

Or will Kyle just always be a guy that leads a ton of laps & wins his fair share of races?

I was just thinking that with the 48 and a few others in the mix it's going to be very hard for Kyle to win a championship?

He sorta got the Chase monkey off his back last year and had a good run minus Kansas, but Homestead hasn't been kind to him until the last couple of years. He does have a lot ahead of him at only 28, so if I had to bet I'd say he'll win a Cup title eventually.

His time will soon come. He'll eventually mellow out and develop his skills even further as a more mature driver. He's already shown a lot of that maturing improvement over the past few years.

Yeah he'll win 1 or two.

He kind of lost his opportunity to take NASCAR by storm like Gordon and Jimmie did though so he'll have to settle for 1 or two championships, which ain't half bad.

At 28 already, clock is ticking.

Definitely. I don't like him, but I acknowledge that he's simply too talented not to win one, especially with Gibbs. I'm still not sold on his CC though.

The new Chase with eliminations will suit his mindset and racing style.
Almost like it was tailor made for Kyle.....or his brother Kurt.

As for his ability to win a championship...how could that ever be in doubt.

I don't think anyone would be surprised to see him win one or more cups but I don't believe in any drivers ability to win it until they actually win it. Put up or shut up.

Welcome to the forum PokerRun , great question . I think he will . Kyle has always been a bit of a hothead , win or crash , type of driver . Jimmie and Jeff Gordon have been, win or top five, type of drivers . Consistancy has been rewarded , hotheadedness has not . Kyle is growing up to be a little smarter and crashes less .

I'd put Kyle in the top 8-10 current drivers on the circuit, like him or not the kid has some great talent. Can he win a championship?, I can't say he will but he sure makes racing fun to watch and if he does ever take one home, he'll have earned it. JMHO.

Welcome to the forum dude. Glad to have new members on here.

Honestly I'd say the only way Kyle wins a championship is after Johnson, Gordon, Kenseth, Stewart & Harvick retire or lose their competitiveness.

The real question should be, "Will Junior ever win the Championship". That, will be more difficult than Kyle taking one and why I keep tuning in on Sundays.

Kyle will win one. As far as having to wait for the HMS & SHR drivers to retire, well that just might be the BS Post of The Year.
The Busch brothers are as talented, if not more talented, than anyone that has ever sat in a stock car. Winning a Championship requires effort from an entire team/organization. Chemistry and luck play a big part in winning Cup Championships. The current top 10 level of competition in the Cup Series makes it extremely challenging to win a Championship. Good equipment, good organization, good chemistry and good luck are all key components of a championship season.

Kyle is about the only "villain" in Nascar at present. Tony jumps up there once in a while for some, but about the only place his villain ness has mattered so far has been in Nationwide. In cup he beats up on a few drivers that he can get away with doing it to, but he struggles to make the chase most of the time. Kinda of a toothless threat at the cup level. He is great in Nationwide, gets people to tune in with the hope that he won't win.

Exactly right...The problem is that the kid needs his EGO fed on a constant basis, and that's why he races NNS/Trucks...If he has another MELTDOWN OR 2, he will be begging Gene Haas for that F-1 ride, because no one will want to deal with his childlike antics...........

He's got at least 12 years probably more

Well put Bobby :)

Nor would I.

My point is that simply saying someone will win a championship isn't going to make it happen any more than saying they wont will stop them.

I never for a second thought that Keselowski would win a cup...boy, was I wrong

Yep I didnt expect it from Brad either, I certainly hope I dont have to see it again :(

Hes better then all of the above. He just needs consistency

You forgot to add that he's currently 5th in the active Cup driver win category ;)

You could just as easily be talking about Delana's wife, Jooooyner, etc., etc. Media plays up the raw talent bs because they win either way--raw talent finally gets his due, or untapped potential headlines. All crap. Kyle will continue to win races, and if the planets align, he will win it all.....Just like freakin' everybody else.

Oh yeah, and Delana's wife has won so many Cups.

How old was Jimmie when he won his first? Google it.

He has more wins then every driver but jj

You still in a rough mood today Rev ?

I'm in my old Kyle finest mode! Pissed as hell! Bitching at everybody! Ready to win baby! Damn straight I'm in a rough mood. Toyotas are slow! Rain delay now drags out my potential mood swing. Hell, this could go on for another 24 hours! My double bird salute is ready and waiting.
