Rate The Race: Bristol II

Start of the race 5
Kyle Busch wrecking+10
Kurt Busch wrecking -10
Harvick winning+8

So doing some math

8.4

Rating the race itself, I'll give it a 8. The rain sucked causing so many fans to miss the race, but it was a good race regardless.

Race (what I saw): 7
Winner: 10+++
Coverage: I was able to defend NBC for putting Watkins Glen on USA. Everyone gets that channel and knows what it is and where it is. But CNBC? :XXROFL:

8.

For some reason, I just never got into this one. I was probably up too late last night, the late red this afternoon didn't help, and I felt sorry the huge majority that couldn't make it back.. I acknowledge there was some good action across multiple lanes.

I kind of agree, dont get wrong, I enjoy the race, but it being postpone till daytime I think is what did it for, this is the race that is on the top of my list that I look forward to every year.

7. I would have given it an 8, but I deducted a point for NASCAR throwing unnecessary cautions.

I thought it was odd that the 7 car (I think it was the 7) microscopically touching the wall brought out a phantom caution but not for the 88 and some others who hit it harder.

6.5 is my rating but if it were possible I would give it a billion million gazillion due to to Mr. Karma visiting Kyle.

CNBC apparently is the network that is easiest to re-arrange the schedule. I didn't expect NBC to rearrange the schedule on NBCSN to accommodate the NASCAR race, just to rearrange the schedule somewhere else to accommodate what they moved off NBCSN. Why rearrange two network when they only need to change one?

Not to mention, CNBC is in 93 million homes, more than NBCS/N, so thats a good thing

CNBC is completely off air on weekends anyway. I get it, but hardly anyone knows about CNBC. Stock market gurus do. Hell, even when the economy fell apart and people were watching business news, I was watching Fox Business.

That wasn't it for me. I'm at the point where I look at night races as an exercise in trying to stay awake. I can either watch them through heavy eyelids, or record them and watch them the next ... -day-. Likely I was just too tired from staying up last night and then mowing the lawn in the heat and humidity. Like you said, there wasn't actually anything wrong with the race itself.

"It's not you, it's me. I'm just in a bad place right now, not really ready to commit to a relationship. Got any Hagen-Daaz?"

5.5

Meh. Top groove was dominant. It was Harvick's race once the top runners slowly got eliminated.

They announced the changes. I think if someone was capable of finding out when the race was going to start, he or she was also capable of determining what network it would be on.

I don't mind it considering that if you have basic cable, you probably have CNBC. Really though, I can honestly say that this is the first time I have ever watched anything on the channel.

It's that channel that shows Marcus Lemonis shows and Shark Tank reruns.

I looked online to see what time the race was going to run and noticed it was on CNBC. I didn't know what channel it was so I looked up and set the DVR and life was good.

6 folks most of these were not accidents but simply a mask for a debris caution to bunch up the field.

Isn't that where the second Pocono race wound up?

I don't look at any of the news channels. I like national and international news, but it's getting too hard for me to tell when they're reporting vs. when they're opining and editorializing. And it seems like every time I turn one on, it's airing a panel discussion or some fluff celebrity content.

I don't know who Lemonis is, but too much non-news content like Shark Tank is why I avoid the so-called 'news channels'.

That kind of stuff is also why I quit relying on the Weather Channel several years ago. Dish customers, go up one channel to 215 for Weather Nation; it's what Weather Channel used to be.

Oh, and 'everyone' doesn't know where USA is. I had to Google where Dish carries it for the Glen race. I haven't looked at it since 'Psych' and had forgotten it existed.

The race was fine, but like others mentioned above, didn't feel quite right being run Sunday afternoon. The rain yesterday was a buzzkill.

Solid racing all day, so I'm not going to complain too much. Saturday night would've been more exciting though.
