I would agree w/regard to Monday not being an option. Then, on the other hand, Monday is a holiday and most businesses downtown will be closed.

Growing up in Chicago, and being familiar with the various streets, I am looking forward to it. Looks like rain tires, 60% chance. Again, knowing the streets, I’m curious as to where the team trailers will be located as well as the trailers selling driver stuff.

What’s holding down the attendance? Dirt?

An event like this will draw more than NASCAR fans. The south and west sides of Chicago are hotbeds of drug dealing and shootings. Keeping these dirtbags out will be a challenge. If just a couple of these creeps get in and do their dirty work this could turn out to be a PR disaster for NASCAR...

I suppose my advancing years is responsible for my opinion NASCAR should forget the dirt, COTA and the ROVAL.

For me the jury is still out on Bristol/Dirt. That said, I wonder if NASCAR considered air intakes up higher on the car. I’m sure radiator air intake could have been engineered.

The penalty was based upon an improperly installed wheel/tire. Anyone know exactly what was improper? If the lug wasn’t tight during a pit stop, how would anyone know? Because the lug came off is it assumed it wasn’t installed properly? Could there have been a defective hud or lug? If if it...
