Now tied with Byron for 2nd best avg finish this season behind only Truex. The 9 team's struggles were exaggerated because they hadn't won, but this points system and playoff format places such a premium on winning it's what people zero in on the most.

I still hate the new Texas although the middle raced much better yesterday than it has previously. Idk if that's the aging or the tire they used or what. The car can still get tossed in the trash as far as I'm concerned lol.

I've grown to like Hamlin over the last few years, never thought I'd ever say that but I have. I still hate his guts for that Martinsville deal in particular but Chase did get fairly even.

Chase said he was too loose running out front, was more stable running behind him. He'd basically need to grab the lead quickly and hold him off just long enough here, a lot to ask I think
