That's fair, I certainly understand that opinion. I just was looking for away to make them even more special. Paying out more money than the others could also work.

Well it's a good thing I never called it that, I just don't think its as impressive as a full season format. But I've in this thread said its legit by the rules they play.

This is the biggest and best point made in this. What any of us think the crown jewels are don't matter. The drivers and teams however, they do decide. If they say its one, its one. We can't argue against what they think.

Look at the tracks they are going to. None of them big, heck I been to Cordele Speedway before, they don't even have a wall around most of the track. The monopoly is keeping them off any of the big tracks.

No one ever claimed the people running the show is smart. Maybe not, but it's still a crown jewel event. It's one of the races drivers really want to win more than others.

If I was a driver, I'd definitely want to win there, more so than a lot of other tracks. It's a huge deal winning at Indy. No matter if it's the Indy 500 or The Brickyard 400. The 400 let's remember, sparked a tradition that even those who win the 500 now do, kissing the Bricks. That shows...

I mean I would agree, but some could try is more so what I meant, and others might would agree. If someone tried saying The Southern 500 wasn't, i doubt they have anyone backing them up.

The Daytona 500, Coke 600, Southern 500, and Brickyard 400 are what NASCAR considers them. 400 only one that is debatable, Southern 500 1000000% is one with the other two.

tbh, i think the Crown Jewels all should pay out more points. Not just the 600. Make it mean something to win the big ones,
