This is unbelievable and so incredibly sad. My thoughts and prayers are with Samantha and the rest of the family. Life is so precious and each day too many of us take it for granted.

I agree seating is a bit of a pain for special events and at times it doesn’t help that you are facing west right into the sun. Go early and save yourself nice seats in the covered grandstands then go down to the speedway museum. Fremont is one of my favorite tracks.

The winner has received 1 million since 2003. The 2003 equivalent today is a little more than 1/2 million. I wonder how much more the team expenses are today compared to over 20 years ago?

For me it’s a bit sad to see this. I get that she has this opportunity and would be foolish to pass up probably for financial reasons but I don’t think in the long run this will help her racing career. It’s entirely possible she could be the first to finish last in both races. 😟

Is COTA not considered a road course?

First time he really came up on my radar was when he subbed for Friesen last year. He ran some solid races in the 52 truck. Hope to see him continue to grow.
