I think his point is how bad the NASCAR series is. Can you think of any other sport where a guy comes in and on the first night smashes his opponents in a variation of the sport he’s good at. Bad look for NASCAR imo.

1. Seriously, if we are gonna have road races, then road race, don't demolition derby it. NASCAR just isn't designed for that track. Its designed for F1 and Indy car where they have to drive without hitting each other like that. Pathetic. My kids can do what we saw yesterday.

As it stands now, EVERY playoff race is a bigger deal than the 500. Literally Stenhouse winning yesterday means ziltch. He won't be a factor moving forward in the season and no one will care that he won the 500.

All you need to know about this farce of a race (every year) is that Busch and Truex have never won it, and Austin Dillon and Stenhouse have.

Its true, he could have been. He was def the best driver in 2015 and had the fastest car. I would easily chalk that one up. The problem is, in this format, anything can happen in that final race. You have to be good, and then hope nothing goes wrong at the same time. Bottom line, no...

Just to update, Joey tied Martin Truex Jr today for #28 on the all time wins list with 31. His next win will move him into a tie with Dale Jarret at #27.

I think NASCAR is in a transition period with drivers and talent. The stalwarts are getting up in age….KB, Harvick, Truex, Kez, Hamlin are near the end. Joey is kind of one of the few dominate drivers entering his prime with Larson and Chase right there too. Tons of young talent out there...
