When it was at Daytona, it was easier to reschedule since everyone was already there and would be there until the 500. There was no rush to get back so you can prep for Daytona.
NASCAR fans change their mind like they change their underwear. We have people getting nostalgic for Fontana and Kentucky after begging for both to be off the schedule.
Give it enough time and some people will be nostalgic for the playoffs.

Isn’t any points system made up? Point systems don’t occur organically and the good Lord above doesn’t come to racing executives to bestow a point system. At some point, someone sits down with a pen and paper and tries to create a fair way to determine a champion.
The playoffs weren’t that difficult to follow. I’m certain that any “serious fan” can do basic math.
