They do something similar at the High Limit Series except they take a driver's playlist and play a line or two from many of his songs during the numerous breaks. Some drivers will surprise you with what they listen to.

I'm like the tweet above. I was watching a race not an elimination round. I can see why the ratings are down, you get a headache if you listen to the alternate reality they are trying to create. I'm usually watching something else on Youtube that's on the computer and listening to the radio...
