Its not even needed anymore IMHO.

People just love the sound and it does sound awesome, but that V6 with that ERS system is a monster in itself with the slicks. I've grown to love the sound of the V6s', they sound great IMHO.

That's just pathetic. I assume he is engaged in full on apologism and denial at this point. The incredible quickness of the cars is impressive at first blush, but this wears off quickly. No, it was not "worth it" to move to an even poorer formula for actual racing to achieve faster lap times. Now they are going to expand use of DRS to try to cope?

I can only hope that behind the scenes, Ross Brawn and company are well aware that this was the wrong direction and are hard at work on a new plan. The only thing this season has going for it is that Mercedes and Ferrari appear closely matched at the front.

Todt has also suggested that longer term maybe F1 needs a rethink of its aero concept to ensure that future cars can follow each other more closely.
