Americans getting spanked in Americas cup

And we know better after 2013.
The rules are all in favour of the Defender keeping the Cup. Which is why we started with minus 1 points.
We are having 5 days off now so the defender can make changes to their boat and they are allowed 2 boats while we must commit to just one.

Here in America, we build small boats with big power. Same with the Kiwis and Aussies. Lmao :p

Do you predict a win? I think it would be a shame if the Americans came back now....such a lead

Bring back the 12 meter boats and scrap these Hobie Cats on steroids.
I met some of the Aussie's who won the cup here in '83. Great people and I learned the hard way that you can't drink a 110 pound, 5'2'' ''Shelia'' under the table..

I'm watching some of it. I have no clue what they are doing, but it wears me out watching them run back and forth lol.

But I think it's easier riding the bike than hand grinding.... altho that was a close race.
Race 2 for the day coming up.

These boats are pretty wild. The racing is also pretty intense.. NGL

I find the race is won and loss on the start...it is amazing to watch the skippers at the start. I have been in a few races myself and can say that the start is the most crazy. J35s are awesome tho

5.27am

NZ at a slightly slower speed right now but Burling and Ashby are covering Oracle, 150 metres ahead and staying in the same wind to cover, closing in on gate five. Still the one mistake zone, but no mistakes so far from Team NZ.

I sailed cat boats for years, had three of them, a Hobie 16, Nacra 15 (freestyle) and a sol Cat 18. When they went to the big cats I quit watching the cup. Bring back the keel boats.

5.34am

Thanks! Gonna be a lot of celebrating going on down here today.
Our boat Aotearoa was the best and most innovative boat at the tournament and a real testament to the creative thinking of the design team.
