First Four Out?

I'm going with the 3, 5, 17, and 20(it's just that kindof year)

I'll swap out the 41 for Stenhouse. 41's speed lately is either dumb luck or they found something. They did it twice in a row so there is that.
Stenhouse seemed like an obvious pick, but I'm gonna go against the grain and say he makes it to round 2.

Newman is like a mini Johnson in the lower rounds or I would have picked him..for sure out in the second.

Since we have the playoffs... I think one more change should be made. Literally win and your in... stop letting guys in on points. Allow up to 16 if there are ever that many winners, but if there are only 12-15 winners, let that be the playoff field. Don't like pointing into the playoffs. Go get r done.

31, 41, 1, 5... first out

Lets dump the 21 ----- 5 -------17 and one other one that doesn't belong
There's one driver who don't belong, that darn 1 car. He's got one win in 7 or 8 seasons. Time to bring on cole Custer or anybody. Bring Steve park back.

I wish they could have had a fan vote so we could get dale jr in there. Shame logano is out too

I'd choose Blaney or Stenhouse before Newman.

Jaime Mac is going to make it past the first round.

3/5/17/21 are gone IMHO.

Yeah Jamie Mac and Newman are consistent and that's important for round one. I don't have a good feeling about Blaney.

18, 11, 20, 48

Keselowski (seems like one big favorite always misses the second round) Kasey Kahne (lame duck), Kenseth (ditto) and Jamie Mac

Gluck must have rocks for brains.

5. Championship predictions
So here we go. It’s time to make some picks.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Ryan Newman, Austin Dillon and Chase Elliott will be eliminated in the first round, with Kasey Kahne, Ryan Blaney, Kurt Busch and Jamie McMurray advancing to Round 2 but falling out after that.

Matt Kenseth, Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson and Brad Keselowski will come up short of making it to Homestead, which will leave Truex, Larson, Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin as the final four.

In the end, despite the presence of Homestead ace Larson in the championship race, Kyle Busch will use a late restart to win his second career title as Truex once again suffers bad luck after a dominating race.

Jeffery, I have $100 that you are 50% wrong in the first round.

Im gonna go with 1,3, 5, 17

I wasn't aware that there were that many "cheating Toyotas" Nascar does have an inspection process in place for that sort of thing though :idunno:
I don't really have much faith in Nascar's ability to run the series or the inspection section of it.
Car gets inspected 4 times at the track and then is taken to the shop where they find the car is illegal. I don't like Denny one bit but if they say the car is OK to race and then change their mind,
I think they need a total new process. Add to that they need qualified people to run the process all season long at every track. Hiring fat unemployed people from each city is not professional.

I agree......... great post...... If they are too dumb and inefficient to catch any problems in pre-race...... don't try to ding 'em after the fact.......
the rear ends will look and work like late models in a week doing that.

Pshhhhhhhh. Look at Blaney's stats. His win wasn't a fluke.
I agree and I like him a lot, but consistency is an issue. I see him outrunning several that will advance to the next round, but loosing the spot to them due to a DNF in one of those races.
I hope I am wrong.

Alright John, we need to have a talk.

I don't like Denny either but his brand choice has no bearing on that

Yeah because it's better to have drivers that got lucky one race all season than people who run up front every week compete for a championship. o_O
