Rate The Race: Chicago

6 .................. ARCA was a 9 Thurs. nite.

I would be lying SOB if I rated this anything higher than a 6

The racing was very lackluster .

Race: 0
Entertainment: 7 (6 + 1 for KyBu getting pinned a lap down)

A nice NASCAR feel good script for MTJ and Sherry. But it feels like another Denny Hamlin Darlington rehash -- and MTJ quickly blowing his tires to destroy the evidence is just part of NASCAR Theater...

10. Fabulous race. The Rude Awakening is in process.

A lot of drivers hurt themselves. With green flag racing every mistake was magnified. Truex and his team managed to recover - the 78 team reminds me of the 48 team when they dominated and recovered from mistakes. I'd say there was manufacturer parity up front today.

4, I fell asleep during it. The only broadcaster on NASCAR radio I enjoy is Chocolate. There is no way he's gonna convince anyone that there was drama in that race. OK, maybe drama to see who would race their way into the lucky dog stop but other than that I got nothing. Zero, zip, nada.

4. I didn't find the race in anyway compelling but I was glad Nascar didn't get a case of the yips and and start throwing catch up and bunch up cautions. I know some fans liked this race and I am happy for all who did but lets keep our fingers crossed there will be a few races before the end of the year a whole bunch of us like.

5 - Usually Chicago puts on a decent show, but it really was a bit of a snoozefest.

Major kudos to MTJ though, he put on a clinic when needed.

10 classic nascar racing ids passing lapped cars every corner with limited yellows mixing pit strategy

7.5 keeping up with the chase contenders kept me interested, it would have been very boring with the old system.

5 + 1

It was no thriller by any means, but the outcome sure was a lot better compared to the last two races.
