NASCAR Heat 2 coming Fall 2017

The battle for the Xfinity title at Homestead was lit.
Drove Clements's #51, and my biggest challenger actually ended up being Blake Koch, even though William Byron and Elliott Sadler were also in the Final Four. Two small, single-car teams duked it out for the championship! Byron dropped out, and Sadler was 8th/9th. I got 3rd, Koch was 5th, and Tyler Reddick stole the win from the Ryan Reed. Reddick was the only non-Chaser to win a race. :D

Odd thing that I've noticed - the Cup guys seem to be nerfed to in the Xfinity series. Khane and Logano were 21st and 22nd in the final standings, and Harvick was the only one who made the playoffs. He still got knocked out after the first round. Did 704Games have a motive in mind when nerfing them (i.e. just letting the Xfinity drivers win Xfinity races), or is this just a mistake on their part?

Is there no manual save in this?

You cant always depend on auto save. It has happened to me on other games before so I make it a point to save progress I make manually.

So, are the people talking about winning races in **** cars playing on a low difficulty level or is the game just garbage?

NASCAR games aren't really known for being dymanic like Codemaster games are. The game doesn't seem to differentiate garbage teams from elite teams. They all run seemingly the same when a human takes control of it.

Of course I'm only talking about past games here.

A major negative point talked about is the ease of difficulty the AI has. Unless you are racing for a 2 or 1 star team in career, you will blow by everyone. The AI is certainly not strong enough for any fan of racing games.

That's disappointing.

If its something they can repair in a patch, Ill pick the game up. The competitive challenge is the whole point of racing games. Without that challenge, the game is unplayable in the long term, in my opinion.

If you want a challenge, try online multiplayer

Being one of the aforementioned people, I can say that I had my difficulty set to one of the hardest. Tbh, whatever team you get in each series doesn't to have too much of a bearing on where you finish. There's a little difference that I can tell, but not much. The teams' rating system seems to be kind of useless. The game goes by a 5 star scale. Obviously, 5-star teams are the best. The lowest any team can go, it seems, is 3 stars. Peculiar. LFR is a 3 star team, according to the game.

Whenever theres not troll racers who wreck all the time on purpose, its hella fun.
Eldora online is fun. I gave it six attempts, all in the same lobby. I chose Ryan Truex's #16. There were seven human players, and the rest were AI. Apparently, many of the players' definitions of racing was pretty loose. I had several trying to crash into me. At one point, I got a three-and-a-half second lead over the field, then someone deliberately brought out the caution. At the OT restart, we went four-wide, and I took the bottom-most (is that a word?) line I could and managed to just beat the trio to the line. I've only got three online wins, not the GOAT here, but this win is definitely my favorite. :D

I have yet to see one. 3 stars is the lowest ranking I have seen, and many of them are 3 stars.

Welp. How does a mobile game look more polished than this supposed next gen game?

Yea, people in the iRacing forums were saying it looked more like a mobile game than anything Next Gen. I just thought the physics was wrong, Eldora was way too big (or the trucks were too small) and the AI were running on rails. Seriously NASCAR Heat 2 made Eldora a half mile track look like a super speedway.

My son the gamer has declared this game DOA. He did Eldora with the difficulty maxed out and won multiple times by 2-3 lap margins on his first session with the game.

He's now got his sights set on Project Cars 2.

Just won the Xfinity title for Penske. I wasn't offered a ride at Penske so i signed with Hendrick to drive the #88

I now finally have this unfinished what sounds like to be just as bad the Eutechnyx version game

I wont be playing it tonight, maybe I will pop it tomorrow sometime

Well im about to start the chase in my first Season in the cup series and i've been thinking about what Team i'm gonna drive for next Season.
I'm thinking either the 22 for Penske or give myself a Challenge and drive either the 21 or the 43

Won the Monster Energy Nascar Cup series title. The final four was myself,Jimmie Johnson,Brad Keselowski and Martin Truex Jr. I signed with Penske in the Off Season to drive the #22 and Won the Daytona 500 and the highlight of the race was when Truex blocked me and i dumped him and that caused the big one to happen and then i would go on to Pass Ricky Stenhouse Jr with three laps to go for the lead.

Well it's time for Homestead and it's my Second full season in the Monster Energy Nascar Cup Series. Here's the final four Myself,Kevin Harvick,Brad Keselowski, and Martin Truex Jr

Well i've won the Monster Energy Nascar Cup series title three years in a row and this year instead of signing with Penske i signed with Richard Petty Motorsports to drive the #43. I wanted to do something different this Season

So next year on my career mode i've decided that i'm gonna drive for a different team next year and figured i'd list a few cars and let you guys let me know what Cup ride i should drive next season.

I'll be driving one of those four cars next Season. Which car do you all want me to drive next year ?

So, I got the game for my Birthday last month, and I have yet to even open the game up and play it.

Bought it today. Maybe I'll be able to play it in a few hours once it installs and updates

I don't care if the game isn't as great as other racing games out there, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it and for $40 it's worth it to me. I'll probably go to a race at Kentucky or Bristol next year, so the ticket voucher makes it a no brainer purchase

I played a few quick races. From what I can tell, it looks/feels exactly like last year's game, but the simulation mode (no stability control) is actually playable now and feels pretty nice. I ran a few races on the regular "out of the box" settings, the only changes I made were race length (bumped from 3% up to 4%) and AI difficulty (auto/regular bumped up to auto/hard).

First race was Cup at Atlanta, driving as Chris Buescher. 13 laps, started last. I was WAY faster than the field, I basically screwed around and even spun out at one point when I intentionally wrecked someone, but still had more than enough time to race to the front and easily win. Ridiculous. My "speed rating" was 100.

Second race was Xfinity at Iowa, driving as Daniel Hemric. 10 laps, started last. I struggled to finish 38th....seriously, the settings were exactly the same as Atlanta, but I only passed two cars this time. I noticed the same thing that pissed me off in the first game at some of the faster tracks, the auto braking (part of the stability control, for whatever reason) totally ruins your corner exit and kills your speed. I got 38th out of 40, yet my "speed rating" was still 100. Weird.

I did the exact same race again, but this time with no stability control, and raced up to 27th. It felt a lot better without the stability/braking BS.

Next, I raced the Trucks at Eldora as Spencer Boyd (#12 truck). It was only 6 laps, but it was a lot of fun. I raced it twice (one with stability, one without) and raced my way up to the teens both times (with "Speed Ratings" of 98 one race, and 96 the other). It was fun with the stability aid, but it was even better with stability off.

So, my first impression is that the game is very inconsistent with AI again (no surprise there) but I think online will be even better this year with the additional series/tracks. My only concern is that online mode forced you to race with stability control last year, and I feel like its probably the same again this year. If so, that's disappointing.

Seeing how PIR is like in my back yard, it makes using it very easy, so what I am saying is, I might be using it.

You can't use the voucher at PIR because PIR is owned by ISC. Only SMI tracks partnered with NASCAR Heat for the $50 discount.

Atlanta, Bristol (the best experience ever), Charlotte, Kentucky, Las Vegas, New Hampshire, Sonoma, & Texas (my backyard)
