I would recommend using a DVR to record the race as if it is a good one you can enjoy each green flag lap but FF through the commercials, yellows, reds and boring cleanup periods. If it is a dull race you can FF to about 20 laps to go and not have missed anything of any consequence as a rool. .

I have out of town guests this weekend, so the DVR on Sunday night will be it.

The happiest memory I have of being at Talladega was seeing Booby Hamilton drive Andy Petree's Square D Monte Carlo to victory.

I forgot my other good Talladega story. Same year I talked to Loomis, we dropped out early with a right front wheel bearing failure. We were standing around in the garage area with the car waiting for the race to end, and an official comes through a says "I need to get your restrictor plate." The crew chief pointed to me, so I went over, raised the hood, removed the air cleaner and unbolted the carburetor. I picked it up with one hand and reached down and plucked the plate off the manifold and handed it to the official. He IMMEADIATLEY starts chewing me out. "You don't ever, EVER touch MY restrictor plates. Only I can remove and install our plates. Don't EVER do that again"....

We have 3 restrictor plate races in the first 26 races of the season. That's 1 for every 8.6666 races. Not having one in the last 10 races of the season would throw off the equilibrium of the universe. Besides I "really" like having Dega in the last ten races. You notice that I didn't mention the ridiculous name of the last ten races. Here I go channeling @Greg again. I need to find a cure for that.

Yep.

Jr's last dega race. Is that Sunday's drinking game? If so I better run pick up a couple more cases.

Make it a double by throwing Stenhouse in there and if they get racing each other, be nice to your family as you may be needing a piece of liver real soon!

For those of you who don't like the announcers, the NBCSN web feed includes music, engine sounds, but no voice feed. I'm sure it's a technical goof, but you can enjoy it while it lasts.

yeah I just switched over from the trucks and was immediately blasted with the NBCSN B.S., hard to say but the truck announcers (Mikey) were so much easier to listen to

You have voice feed? I've reloaded the page twice. The full audio is there for the opening John Deere ad, but only track sounds after that. Kinda like being there; it's a shame it's not a track I enjoy.

EDITED: Voice feed came on when they came back from commercial.

If I'm in the penalty box, does red flag time count as part of my penalty, or does the clock only run on my penalty under the green?

If you're not up to the "Jr's last Talladega race" primary drinking game, the alternate game is "Momma, I pooped!"

This guy does his whole trip every week.
You are correct;), ive been a subscriber to him for awhile now, Ive posted his videos here before:D
