I think Homestead is a really good track for a championship format like this. Not a cookie cutter and like old school Atlanta which served as an excellent finale. I didn't watch the entire race but I caught a decent amount. The ending definitely props it up but in this race the ending truly is all that matters...

9. Stage 1 was okay. Stages 2 and 3 were much better. Good hard racing at the finish.

9. Couldn't figure out who was gonna win it for sure until the last caution. I figured with the 78 out front nobody could get around it but KDB surely gave him a run for the money.

A season that started with a lot of potential but was stale throughout most of the year. Certainly some good races but I've seen better seasons. Deff not the worst though. I like stage racing and the playoff format, even though it may be a weird way to crown a champion, does add a lot of excitement and drama. Looking forward to focusing on the panthers the next couple months and be ready to roll af Daytona in February.

Saw it in person and I give it a 7. Love Truex winning his second championship of the year! Heck of a run made by KDB but not enough. Had some strategy within stage 3. Definitely a feeling out stage 1.

Amazing how the champ 4 cars always run right at the front in each finale.
