Wild ride at Pomona for Force

Holy cow. Damn what a ride and he's ok.

Used up body #2 and engine #2 today. Expensive weekend already underway.

If anybody works at a bank and sees a loan come through with John Force's name on it......

3 engines, 2 FC bodies, and a dragster just aint cheap.

From the starting line I saw our car drop a cylinder and then I heard the explosion and I figured it was going to be just like Atlanta a few years ago when we exploded a body off of the car, but when I looked over at Forces car I realized it was him and not us. It was not a good weekend for the JFR team. John had to take trip to the hospital on Fri and his daughter Brittany had a pretty scary crash today in her Monster Energy dragster and was taken to the hospital today. I think she will be released tomorrow. Here is a link.

Besides a possible money issue I wonder why they still haven't come up with an idea to make those walls softer like the safer barriers.

Brittany and her crew has had a lot of highs and lows in the past few years. In 2015 a girl driving a car lost control in the rain and came across the highway and hit her race hauler and forced them off the road. Then they win the Championship in the last race of 2017, and then she crashes her race car in the first race of 2018.

If anybody sees a loan application for John Force Racing, not sure I would issue it. John lost a car today and took Jonnie Lindberg (Jim HEad's car) with him. Force to the hospital.

That's ridiculous. Here's a dragster and now here's a pile of junk.

The good news is he is ok. The car wasn't as lucky. They just finished loading a pile of scrap to haul back to Indy. I guess I had better get off of here and start heading back to California if I want to beat the LA traffic.:)

Eugene, it looked like they had the jaws of life out? Sure looked like John was absent when the car came to a rest. Figure he probably got knocked out when he came back to earth after riding the wall?

Have fun dealing with the LA traffic. haha

They cut the roll cage off. I beat the traffic and just pulled into the shop at 3.00 am.:)

I just had the chance to actually watch the video and it looks like he was spinning the tires which unloads the chassis which caused the engine to drop cylinders which in turn can caused the engine to blow up.

That Courtney Force win after Dad going out did my heart some good.
She was suppose to race her Dad in the semi but just had to take a solo pass.
The Torrence father / son top fuel semi was gripping stuff as well. NHRA
has me hooked hard early this season. Now if we can get that Jim Dunn team
to nail a good weekend, we will really be happy !

Even though I have a lot of buddies on both of the Torrence teams and the fact that I worked with both Torrence crew chiefs for many years I still was rooting for Scott Palmer in the finals. If Scott would have won that finals race they would still be partying in Phoenix.:) Scott put his chassis back together in Torrences shop last year after he had it front halved right before the Indy race and the Torrence teams help Scott out a lot with parts and the use of their shop. Here is a link to a video of the Palmer team and Torrence teams having a little fun in Palmers pit after the race in Phoenix.

That's cool behind the scenes stuff about the Palmer team. Thanks Nitro Dude!

Jonnie Lindbergs chassis just left the JFR chassis shop heading to Jim Heads Ohio race shop after getting a new front half.

Kinda neat seeing it in the back of a pickup. Amazing how little there really is.

So is it true that Force's blocks are pulling the main threads, or is that just smoke? Seeing as he is the only one that has detonated multiple engines already.....
