2018 ARCA Racing/Misc.

Haha I love ARCA, even though I think I could do the same thing with no experience.

One cool thing out of it for me was finding out about Max Tullman. Never heard of him before today but saw he is from like 20 minutes away from me. Will have to follow him going forward. Racing reference says he ran a few K&N races last year.

Sign me up for the NDFC, she finished that scrum in 3rd or 4th. Very impressive
at 20 years old. She will be in for the whole season.

WOW! Natalie Decker has proven her ability with her accomplishments at Daytona!
Winning the pole, getting through the wrecks and driving to a fifth pale finish with a damaged car show she can handle pressure under fire and has the determination to stick with it until the job is done regardless of circumstances. Way to Ms. Decker!! Here's hoping you'll go on to bigger and better opportunities. You are a real talent!

That was a helluva race. Action everywhere and I'm not talking about the wrecks. Good finish Natalie Decker, congratulations. I'll be watching her career for sure.

It was one of the better ARCA plate races I remember so often they spend 3/4s of it running single file but we had 2 lanes going for most of it.

Tom Hessert III fastest in two-day ARCA test at Daytona

Hessert, driving the No. 55 Toyota for Venturini Motorsports, posted the fastest average lap speed (185.258 mph) of the 62 drivers who took at least one lap.

Hessert, who drove fives ARCA races last season for Venturini, won the pole for the Daytona season opener last season and finished fifth in the event.

i used to watch arca not much anymore why, they all run the same engines(gilmore) i have seen them in person at nashville they are ls motors and composite bodies i know they are trying to save money sealed motors can't change anything on them

I'm hoping my girl Natalie runs good

was gonna go not far from there 1 hr. to cold it's on tv

lucky you to bad about nashville super speedway been their a few times also indy race

does anybody still collect diecast on this forum anymore or post them here

That was a great show, the ARCA race and the slm. Really nice field of SLM, lots of unexpected names there.
Steve Wallace was typical Steve Wallace...
Cold but a good day of racing!

I couldn't believe that with all the wrecks in the SLM race, Cory Lajoie wasn't involved in any of them. That must just be a Cup thing. :D

He caused plenty of wrecks intentionally in his K&N Pro series days.. was a dirty driver then... dont pay any attention to him now though...

Someone should build a casino at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville so it can return to the NASCAR schedule.

#MoreShortTracks

Aren't they tearing down the place for a soccer stadium? Lol.

But I agree, apparently if you have a casino on site, it grants you a race date.

Anybody who watched or attended, how was the crowd?

I think the track is safe for a while.
Used to seem like it was imminent closure for a long time.

Would love to see a casino there, i love the casino at Dover.

I was there, considering the really cold weather, the crowd was better than I expected. Very sparse, not a good crowd, but there were some people there.

Ah I see it was a lawsuit/dispute regarding construction of the MLS stadium in Nashville being too close to the facility. If anything I don't think having a professional sports stadium nearby hurts the reputation of the track.

I'd like to see the Truck Series and Xfinity Series return to Nashville Fairgorunds again, great track, would be surprised if the races there wouldn't be decently supported. Probably need SAFER though.

I like how this cars are sliding and bouncing around this track. I rarely get a chance to watch the ARCA races but I like to see the Venturini cars do well, their shop is right down the street from me.

Big hit for Chandler Smith at Salem.

I didn't realize I was watching a delayed broadcast until just a few minutes ago. Yea, that was a hard hit and you could notice the difference without safer barriers even on a short track. That was some good racing and I like the simplistic and grassroots nature of these races.
