World of Outlaws 2018

It must be bad if they edited it out. Prayers

Someone had a link to a video of the accident on twitter, but it had been removed by the the time I clicked it. All I heard was it was a very violent flip.

This is from Nick Bromberg from Yahoo. It's the only description of what happened that I've found. The YouTube video he linked to is gone, looks like WoO has done a good job of scrubbing it from YouTube, probably for the best to be honest.

"Per a video posted to YouTube that corresponds to the picture of the broken billboard, Johnson’s car got pinched between the wall and another car. His car then flipped over and he ended up flipping out of the track between the wall and signage posted outside of the track after hitting that PBR billboard."

RIP Jason Johnson. Very sad, the dark side of the sport we all love. Liveleak.com has the video.

Wow, not to speculate but I'd have to say the flip into the billboard probably played a big part.

Idk why there was no catchfence there. The speeds they were hitting at that track was nuts

This photo is jarring...

Yeah, great stuff there. I keep seeing references that Larson is limited to 25 sprint car races per year. How does it seem like he's racing multiple times per week and staying under that?

I’d love to see him in an Indycar. Also he raced in Ohio Speedweek which was 7 immediately

I saw a tweet about Freddie Rahmer winning his first WoO race and couldn't believe it was his first, momentarily forgetting we're talking about his kid.

That was a heck of a race between Lance Dewease and Donny Schatz at Williams Grove. Congrats to Dewease, who passed Fred Rahmer for most feature wins at Williams Grove with 91 wins!!!

The Grove is hallowed ground for sprint cars... to me right up there with Knoxville and Eldora. Knoxville has the Nationals, and Eldora has the King's Royal, the two biggest races of the year. But the Williams Grove National Open in September is the third biggest race, and The Grove's weekly slate featuring the Pennsylvania Posse is the best anywhere. And 91 career wins just boggles my mind.

Tony Stewart was racing at Knoxville with the All-Stars tonight, but it didn't go that well for him. He didn't make it out of the C-Main. Kerry Madsen won, with the 62 year-old Sammy Swindell second.
