Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

You guys remember when Jayski was the place to go to find out the new rumors and all and anything NASCAR information.

I used to go there all the time literally all the time... no I don't even bother except for maybe once in awhile.

It seems as though ESPN took a page from NASCAR's playbook and decided that the loyal fans were idiots!
I would be very surprised if the site hasn't seen a dramatic fall off. I'm sure in some boardroom in Bristol there is a group of executives trying to justify the new format and not understanding the simplicity of their mistakes.
UGH!!!

I go there to get practice speeds because the .PDF includes 10-lap averages. Since I'm there for those anyway, I get the starting line-up too. That's it.

Anyone else see Dale Jr.'s story on Real Sports? The information he shared about Dale Sr. I'd never heard before. Harsh way to be sent off to military school. Also, I didn't realize Dale Jr. was worth $ 400 million.

It's pretty neat how down to earth ,humble ,and likeable he is. That kind of fame and fortune ruins many people.

Yep, that was really great. I've heard that Jeff Gordan is very similar, i.e., humble and unassuming. It great to hear those observations about iconic people and how they are even better than you'd imagine them to be if you hung out with them.

Such a pretty scheme and a crazy win and with that stupid ****** emoji I just couldn't say no..

Geez, I hope their insurance has a towing provision!

With that right front at a 60-degree angle, they probably couldn't have pushed it into the hauler if they'd wanted to. Nice of the track to take it back for them.

That would of made a great commercial is that was the #13 Geico Chevy.

Here is something random it happens only once a year and that is
"First Day of Snow."

:D

NASCAR America: Dover ball joint failures concern teams
Sunday’s Cup race at Dover saw two instances of rare ball joint failures on cars.

The first occurred on Jimmie Johnson‘s No. 48 Chevrolet during the pace laps and resulted in Johnson going to the garage for repairs before the green flag. He finished 36th, 17 laps off the lead.

The second failure happened to Clint Bowyer‘s No. 14 Ford and resulted in him crashing with less than 10 laps to go.

“That’s a NASCAR-mandated part all the teams buy from one vendor,” Snider said. “There is concern –both those pieces have been sent to metallurgists — that there might be a bad batch of ball joints. So throughout the NASCAR community, all those pieces are being changed for Talladega and moving forward.”

Talladega sure as hell isn't the place for a ball joint to fail, especially going into turns one or three where it's more likely to fail.

Is the load and stress the same at this track? Last weeks broadcast was saying it was one of the hardest track on equipment.

I don't know but JJ's broke on the pace laps under very little stress.
I don't know which of the yappers said it but I'll take it with a grain of salt.
